Where did you get those saddlebags? Very nice bike bro!

I know this video is 7 months old but I’m watching it now and you asked about a good first aid kit. Delta Provisions Tactical First Aid Kit on Amazon is a very good one for what you want I think. It does not have a tourniquet, but you can pick one up for like 14 bucks anyway.

Do you know what size screws you used for the turn signals? I have a 2011 street bob which I’m running into the same problem trying to run the detachable sissy bar

Wish I knew how to do that wiring. Trying to keep my rocket booster tail lights and add a light up LED license plate too.

If I would have just sat and "wished" my bike would look the same it did on day one. You live in a world of endless education at your finger tips.

hey man loving the videos! Curious, I was installing some similar tail lights and pulled the wire harness down. When I went to stick it back to the top of the inside of the fender with double sided tape it doesn't stay. How did you get your wires to stay put and out of the way?
    Thanks!

Bike N' Bird oh you have some kind plastic thing that holds it?

    • Bike N' Bird
Bike N' Bird  7 months ago

I ditched the tape actually. The plastic that runs on the inside is enough to keep all the wires in place

Dude love the build. for tail lights take a look at these www.speed-kingscycle.com/products/alloy-art-dyna-strut-lights-w-three-wire-setup-kit?variant=33725941191 i have been looking at doing the quick disconnect also and this is the best option so far other than doing like you did here.

Why care if subscribers think your intro is too long? They still watch it right? I dont care about your intro length, because it's the work you do that ultimately matters. Here's a link to a first aid kit company (maybe a bit big for a bike, but you can decide what you really need). Keep doing what you have BEEN doing, because those are the videos the majority appreciate I'm sure. The rest of the people are looking for a quick "how-to" because they're too lazy to enjoy what they signed up for

  • Christopher Habib
    Christopher Habib 8 months ago

So the only reason you had to get creative on the signal mounting was that you got the detachable sissy bar for a Wide Glide and not a Street Bob?

    • Christopher Habib

Ahh thanks! I was looking at getting a detachable sissy bar for my 16 Bob, this info helps. Cheers!

    • Bike N' Bird
Bike N' Bird  8 months ago

No. Any sort of kit that utilizes those rear bolts would require some sort of taillight relocation that I didnt want to do

  • Kevin Meehan
    Kevin Meehan 8 months ago

I really like the license plate mount . Why didn’t you just leave the plate and get rid of the rocket boosters and have bigger saddle bags . I know you said about being spotted from behind but isn’t those led on the license plate mount . Harbor freight for tools ???? They cheap and garbage .

  • 4-n
    4-n 8 months ago

Good job. I was originally going to go with a removable sissy bar but instead decided to just bolt it to the frame so that I could use the same extended mounting bolts for hard bags (need to get them painted). That way the bar and the bags are both bolted directly to the frame instead of a bracket attached to a bracket attached to the frame.

I think it looks dope, especially the fact that you did it yourself. All you need for first aid, superglue and duct tape... maybe some bailing wire as well... Anyone who builds a bike should focus on doing stuff they like, all the dumbasses who come at you with the "woulda, shoulda, coulda" comments can eat a dick. If you like your parts, FTW!

JonnyRoadblock the point isn't for him to be the one doing the jabbing. He likely dosnt even know how to use a decompression needle properly. But they are small enough that it's worth having because who knows somebody else may be trained to use one but is un prepared

Full rear fender, Corsair front end set up, TracDynamics swingarm, Brock’s CF wheels....get er done son
Also, loose those front and rear stock turn signals, def don’t flow with the look, especially a club style build...If you wanna keep signals then Alloy art strut signals for the rear and CustomD wrap arounds for the front or MotoGadget Blaze’s
Woulda got a SDC short backrest as well....again, what you got doesn’t flow with a club style build
I build club style Dynas and Sportys for a living

Nice set up. Only thing I’d change is getting rid of the pedestals on the turn signals. If those are stock housings, Harley makes a plate to clean up the signal(look at the front housings). Or better yet, just buy some front signal housings. I had a similar setup before I went with the alloy art signals.

  • J Tetlow

Not sure of the brand but they do make rear quick disconnects that let you utilize your stock turn signals and the wiring goes through the center of them so it looks OEM.
