Yes Domonique, please enlighten the public on the former coach and previous season of a team you paid zero attention to and took no time to find out anything about. Fuck all these national media types talking about how Steve Wilks shouldn’t have been fired after watching exactly 0 of their games last year. Criticize the hiring of Kingsbury all u want, but exactly no one who watched AZs games last year thinks it was an unjustified move. If anyone of these hot take assholes like Foxworth just took 5 minutes to call a local AZ media member who was actually around that franchise last year, they would find out how in over their and completely unprepared both Wilks and his entire staff were and how, as the season progressed, it just got worse. I have no idea if KK and Kyler Murray will work out, but calling the firing of Wilks wrong after he led the Cards to their worst season in 50 years, is the epitome of not knowing anything about the situation of which you are speaking. Either put in the effort to actually learn what’s going on with the smaller market or west coast teams you guys never cover anyway, or just have yet another segment talking about the Pats, Giants or Cowboys. Fucking lazy prick.

It makes sense to hire young or old head coaches. Frank Reich shows that as an elite coach. The year the Colts have had, especially after a 1 -5 start, is unbelievable. Reich got his first head coaching shot at 56 years of age and didn't just magically figure things out. The Kliff Kingsbury, Sean McVeigh, or Matt LaFleur, are younger coaches who would always be like a Frank Reich who is some kind of genius.

These bums are gonna regret saying Kliff Kingsbury was a bad decision to hire by the cardinals. Last year we hired wills because he had experience in defense and some NFL experience as well granted no Head Coaching experience also he never built the defense in Carolina he came to Arizona thinking his Carolina defensive system would work clearly it didn't why well you change the defense from 3-4 man meant for press and blitzing to 4-3 zone everyone just was out of sync the whole thing was to technical for the defense lots of miss communications Wilks' offense was terrible way to conservative didn't use David Johnson well enough and the O- Line was abysmal and this was both Byron and McCoy... Kliff Kingsbury was hired to simplify things for Josh Rosen and explain things a lot easier than what McCoy did with Rosen and Bradford I heard McCoy would tell the quarterbacks to split the field and focus on that half only. No one on Wilks' staff was great communicator other than him and Byron maybe. All kliff needs is A good Defensive Coordinator and an offensive coordinator who can work in tandem with Kingsbury. Also Kingsbury was hired way earlier than Wilks one that mean Kingsbury has time to choose whos gonna be on his staff and have alot of candidates to pick from than what Wilks had who was hired later when better candidates for the position were being hired.

    • John Haver
      John Haver 9 months ago

What a load of shit. The problem with the Cardinals is Keim. Wilks obviously wasn’t good but he shouldn’t have been hired in the first place and when he was they did nothing to help him succeed. Bad signings and terrible draft picks for years have destroyed the team on both sides of the ball. Keim can’t draft a #2 corner which would solidify the defensive backfield making it the only position of strength on the team.
Receivers other than Fitz and Kirk are an F.
      Linebackers are a D
      Quarterback is completely unknown. C
      Running back . C+
      O line - F
      D Line- C +
      The problem is Steve Keim

Kingsbury went 35-40 and 19-35 in conference, fired from his alma mater then fails up to the NFL? The oft touted statement about this hiring is "teams want the new Sean McVay.. who has done what exactly? He hasn't won a playoff game no less a super bowl. So "teams wanting the new Sean McVay" is code for "we want a young white guy". The Rooney Rule doesn't work but it's not because "it doesn't work" but because of the perceptions of mostly white GM's about black coaches. Mike Tomlin was a Rooney Rule interviewee who went on to become the YOUNGEST HC to win a SB at age 36, has never had a losing season in 12 years AND has the second highest win total in the NFL amongst active coaches behind Belicheck, all that said, how come the league didn't go looking for "the next Mike Tomlin" after his hire and winning a SB but are so eager to get the next Sean McVay who doesn't even have the resume of a Mike Tomlin in his second year of coaching?

    • AM 14
      AM 14 9 months ago

@Joseph Boston what does Dak have to do with any of this? Oh because he's black lmao stfu dude. You're just another idiot that thinks EVERYTHING is racist. Mccvay hasn't even finished his 2nd coaching stint and your already comparing him to Tomlin in his 2nd year. So yeah cowher was 8-8 prior to Tomlin taking over and won the super like I SAID THE YEAR PRIOR. When mccvay took over Fisher had just led the Rams to a 4-12 season. And before that the Rams hadn't made the playoffs since the 2003 season I believe. So to take a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years and make them into a two time defending division winner isnt something that just happens outta nowhere. And he's the youngest coach EVER. but your argument is he's just "some white dude." Lmao stfu dude I know my facts and am not motivated by emotions like u. I'll give u Tomlin is a GREAT coach and maybe his tenure should be talked about more. But again mccvay took the Rams from the worst offense in the league to one of the best in HIS FIRST SEASON. So when they talk about finding the next Sean mccvay. There talking about the fact that he's a great offensive mind. And the league is now all about offense. Change your name to racebaiter.

    • Joseph Boston
      Joseph Boston 9 months ago

@AM 14 And Dak's numbers are better than Goff. lol Goff is overrated AF

    • Joseph Boston
      Joseph Boston 9 months ago

@AM 14 You mean the team that Cowher took 8-8 his LAST season and missed the playoffs? LOL Cowher won his one and only SB in 2005 and he ALSO has THREE losing season, two back to back in 98-99 when he went 7-9 and 6-10. But don't get it twisted he coached that team to a mediocre 8-8 in 2006 the following season after winning the SB (2005) and Mike Tomlin came in and took the franchise to the SB TWO YEARS after the Cowher led SB win (not one season FOH) and has NEVER POSTED A LOSING SEASON EVER
How Cowher coach that team to 8-8 and under Tomlin he led them to the SB yet you say he'd done nothing special as if never having a losing season in 12 years in the NFL and winning a SB as a HC is some "small feat" in a league that ANY GIVEN SUNDAY you can hear a coach or player say "it's hard to get wins in this league".Out of the 32 coaches in the NFL Tomlin is ONE of SIX out who has a SB RING and ONE OF THREE who have been to the Big Game more than once(Cowher only went ONCE). No, not special AT ALL? Just a "good coach"? With that resume Tomlin is one of the the ELITE coaches in the NFL and that's FACTS. The record speaks for itself.
His age is relevant to this discourse unlike your post which makes no sense and does nothing but reify my argument. lol McVay hasn't done anything but do what he gets PAID to do... and win playoff games and a SB which he hasn't done yet and Tomlin did it his first year! You can argue whatever you want but his resume doesn't come close to Tomlin's at the same stage going into his second year .Also, considering how quickly shit changes in the NFL he'd be LUCKY AF to have the career that Tomlin has had and I think even McVay would agree with that, so all this "looking for the next McVay" shit is media hype and you def ALL in. None of that is hate or hype that shit is ALL FACTS. Something you seem to know little about with this post, it's clear what you're on when you could have fact checked yo shit before posting but came on here and posted some false and inaccurate shit. smh You act like Tomlin came in and for 12 years had the team on auto pilot set by Cowher. FOH with that man

    • AM 14
      AM 14 9 months ago

Mccvay inherited a team that hadn't made the playoffs in 15 seasons coming off a 4-12 record. He made Jared Goff look like a pro bowl qb after being deemed a bust. And turned the leagues most inept franchise into a two time division title winner going 24-8. Tomlin inherited arguably the greatest franchise in the NFL. A team that had won the super a a year prior to him being a hired. What he did was nothing special. Yes he's a good coach. But what he's done so far is nothing different from what bill cowher did before him. Making this about black and white is fucken stupid. Plus Tomlin has been a coach for like ten years his age is not relevant anymore lol.

@FinsWins10 to build something you don't have to obliterate everything in the organization to get there. Last on offense and second to last defense in the league. The team was worse in every category except for punts. There was even a game where the team didn't cross the 50 till midway through the 4th quarter. Also, BA was 10-6 his first year.

    • FinsWins10

    • MrBLACKpony
      MrBLACKpony 9 months ago

@Balzac T. Bagher The previous coach went 8-8 with Blaine Gabbert and had a top 10 defense against the run. Wilks turned the team the worst offensive team and 2nd worse defensive team. Completely changed the scheme from a 3-4 to a 4-3 that most weeks opposing teams feasting on, even though this team is built to be a 3-4. Then during the post game interviews stated that he had a great game plan, but the players didn't execute it. He made the entire team worse, he continually blamed players after the games, and he didn't know when enough was enough and almost got the QB hurt at least 3 times by leaving him in during blowouts. He then proceeded to layout his plan for the coming year and the owner hated it so much that fired him. Those are just some of the reasons why he was fired that you won't see on youtube videos or ESPN.
