rewire the compressor to be always on, use ethanol as a coolant, and get the temps below freezing so you don't have to worry about condensation as much

What might be a good idea for this would be to use much longer tubes and put the pump and cooler in a different room, you wouldn’t hear that obnoxious noise and I’m sure there still would be plenty of power in the cooler to cool that machine with the tubing being as long as you need it, just an idea, 3ft of tubing with that cooler on the lowest might be to cold making the condensation but maybe with that cooler and pump 20ft or whatever away at the lowest setting might be closer to your results with it at 60, if y’all catch my drift. Maybe something to think of or try, might seem like a stupid idea but no ones saying it’s practical but if you wanted to test it to see that’s up to y’all

You can easily insulate those lines with something called tundra insulation that is available at plumbing supply stores. Its black foam and flexible like the tubes.... kinda. It will keep the condensation from forming on the lines. The water block is a different story. A coating of some sort of foam cut and glued on might do the trick.

Hi Linus! I had an Idea about if you were to use very high flow of cooled or ambient air instead of super chilling the coolant? Im a mechanic and thinking in terms of engine cooling, increasing flow of air on the same radiator consistently provides enough dissipation to make air to air inter coolers viable in turbocharged setups... so going by the principle that if you were to whisk away whatever heat is generated but maintained a certain "normal operating temperature" ( coz unlike chips, engines need to be at a certain temp for the lube to behave correctly and its designed to run in that range etc). Therefore, lf you were to fab and install an enclosure on a water cooling radiator like a shroud and install a super high flow "Can fan" or also known as a turbine can fan... those are tiny and have flow beyond anything... but they might be loud, im sure you can hook up a fully variable potentiometer to control it to any rpm u want but as far as flow of air goes, nothing beats a turbine. in theory, what im saying is that if you were to simply maintain a super flow over the radiators, technically as long as we are not exceeding the radiator's BTU dissipation capacity, your temps should stabilize at a certain temp and then under all kinds of heavy loads it wont ever go past that point. does that make sense? Oh and Huge fan, love your work! love the videos! keep em coming!

I bought the AlphaCool 2000, 1500W, after watching this video for my Threadripper 2950X and 2990WX. I have been able to overclock it to 4.4Ghz sustained and stable, even under load, yes, amazing!!!!!, especially when you consider you'll need n20 to get to 5Ghz. I'm also running an AMD 9100WX's (my daughters Card), a Titan Z (my card), Nvidia 2080TI (my sons card) and a Radeon Pro SSG 2TB (everyones card, used for rendering, encoding, etc.) (FYI, this card isn't mine, it was borrowed from work after they went Nvidia Quadro's for their new Epyc Servers and had around 5 of these laying around, Blasphemy!, ). So it's amazing that I'm getting s such high speeds with so many hot GPU's in the case.
The AMD Threadripper is an awesome CPU, I highly recommend it to anyone who uses high end video editing software or 3D software, I'm using DaVinci Resolve 16, Maya, Filmora9, Blender and AfterEffects. The OS I'm using is VMware OS, as such I can use OSX, Windows 10, BSD, different Linux Distro's, etc, with minuscule lost's in performance vs. using dedicated hardware for each of the OS's.
Why, well again, while setting up my system, I used tips from Linus in creating a system that everyone in the family could use (the 10 gamer, one PC episode). They simply use either their Nvidia Shield TV's , Google PixelSlate's or Note 9's. As all of them can connect to a 4K monitor, mouse and keyboard and run all of the necessary clients (VMware Horizon, Steam Link, Citrix, etc.) to run any OS or game they want to from the server. I mean even our Note 9's can play games on high settings, 4K 60FPS+, 1080P, 100 FPS+, AMAZING!!!!.
Wife has her own laptop (a Razor Blade Stealth, i7-8565U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 4K, OLED Display, external 2TB Samsung HD, external GPU, AMD 9100-WX (I love these cards), Samsung 49" display (when she saw mine, she had to have one as well) so she doesn't participate in this madness. I will also be building her a desk, similar to the one Linus's group built for their Razor Laptop, so everything is out of the way, hidden.
Sorry I went on tangent there, I'm just so excited that I finally got this this working properly. Condensation is a bitch in a half, let’s just say I sealed up that CPU tighter than a horse @#$%&*+? a dolphins hole.
Thank You Linus and others, you've given me such great ideas over the years.
