Man, I love fossil hunting. When I was 10 I was the 3rd person in the state of Ky. to find an entire, intact Trilobite. (We were only 30 min. from Big Bone Lick) btw Merriwether Lewis went there and spoke of thunderbolts. He also saw giant bison.( much larger than today's version)
I would love to see a follow up where you show them again after cleaning and processing!
Sounds like a great idea :) 🤜🏼⚡️🤛🏻
@ 2:43 and 2:48 as you hold it.... The Ammonites may have overlapped with Trilobites... And im thinking what you are holding is Thecosmilia annularis ! Sort of a EARLY branched coral ! cooler than the big T's :) go back for that one. Even with the good boots :)
I have a feeling I’ll be going back! It was only 104° today hahah, I was soaked!
Any construction zone in the DFW area is riddled with them, I have over 40!
Are they worth $$
Maybe. Haha. People look for the whole ones, and they are found in different parts of the world. They usually like the shiny colorful ones. Probably not worth that much though. I just love rocks :)
Those funky pieces are like vertebrae
@Electric Universe Eyes Since they were two identical 'rocks' I think it would be worth collecting them. Finding out, if you can, what they actually are could well be interesting. And if that's the case then it looks like that site may well provide a few more once u start looking.
I had the same thought, that or large coral structure. Another viewer gave the name of an early coral fossil. I should go back and collect those and clean them up
🙂Dogs pant. They don't 😅 sweat
