The end is here! On the final episode of the Brute Showdown we see the ladies take on the last three events, which include softball, soccer and an eating contest. We have seen a shake up in the standings as we progressed through the last few events, can the ladies close the gap and take the lead from our current leader, Brooke Ence?
    Event 6: Softball “Hit-off”
Each of the ladies will be pitched to by an LSU softball player. They are allowed 6 total strikes and will be awarded a point for every ball that is kept in fair play. Highest number of hits wins!
    Event 7: Soccer Shoot Out
The ladies will go through 2 iterations of 3 shots from various spots along pitch, with 15 seconds on the clock they will be awarded a point for every ball that makes it into the net.
    Event 8: Watermelon eating contest
The ladies will have 2 minutes to consume as much of a watermelon as they can. The athlete that consumes the most watermelon wins.

@LrTiger01 the professionals don't necessarily take steroids but when you're at the elite level 9 out of 10 are on the juice

I've been on your channel before... you bench 45 lb and I don't mean weight I mean the bar, for two sets then you put a 5-pound plate on and you call that pushing hard? I know everybody has different levels of progress but you've been doing the same thing forever

These challenges were a bit off and don't understand why they were in this thing. For one, the pitcher is throwing all over the place, they should have went somewhere where the pitches would be consistent. But also, what does eating watermelon have to do with fitness or a good indicator of one sport over another?

Why didn't they throw the ball way slower so they could all actually hit it

Watched this then went back and watched the version with the men. The one with the women is waaaaay better, across the board. On the production side of things, way better sound quality and significantly better camera work (we can actually see what they're doing!) There's actual scoring and a presenter/interviewer, so we know what's going on. And on the part of the competitors, they're a lot more professional. The men's competition went pretty quickly into just being a video of a bunch of dudes messing around, doing roughly the exercises that they were supposed to do. Here, even with the watermelon contest, they were still going for it.

The version with the men really isn't production quality. This version is and you could probably keep doing these (with men and women) regularly and get a pretty good following if you keep the quality up.

The only thing that I think would let that down is that it's almost always going to be the crossfit or (less often) the olympic weightlifter who wins with your current round-up of events. Crossfit trains to be decent at everything so they're generally going to perform well if you throw random stuff at them, so you can't just be random. Weightlifters practice being explosive, so explosive style movements will be closer to their comfort zone than to the powerlifter or bodybuilder (in general).

I'd suggest swapping in some strongman events so that the powerlifter has some things more suited to their strengths while still being outside of their specialty (atlas stones and farmer's carry would probably be good).

I'm not sure what would be good for the bodybuilder to even things out so that they have a chance. Maybe some gymnastics-style stuff (parallel bar dips? planche?) They work on their shoulders and biceps a lot so something upper-body centric might work as a secondary for them. You should get a couple of bodybuilders and test what things they tend to be amazing at besides posing.

But, basically, have something that's the main for each type of competitor (like you do now) but also something that's related but not their specialty. That should give you a set of eight competitions. You'll have to drop the eating competition (or throw it in as a tie breaker or "bonus round") but I think that the viewers would rather see all of the competitors have a chance of winning than spend every series feeling sorry for the powerlifter, knowing that they simply can't win. And you might also find it easier to find competitors if they all feel like they have a chance of winning.

This competition was simply awesome, inspiring, and motivating like nothing I've ever seen! I absolutely loved every one of the competitor's, their personalities, and the professionalism and respect they displayed throughout the event. Most of all I loved the honesty and humility they all displayed towards their competitors but most importantly - towards themselves. Every human could learn something from this group. Such commendable representations of their respective disciplines and to their families. A+ to Brute Strength for this program.

Since the first video of this series, I had a feeling Brooke would win but taking into account her back and shoulder injury AND the fact that she is also slightly allergic to damn lmaooo that's definitely a true athlete! But this series was so dope to watch! I loved all of the girls' energies and I am literally amazed by what they can do!!

I feel like with all the superhero based shows; these four ladies would make an entertaining super group.
Brooke would be the team leader; Dana would totally be the experienced one that keeps everyone pretty chill; Maddy feels like the group joker. She may not be the champ of this competition, but her attitude made her my favorite overall. Mattie's the quiet one of the group, bit shy at first, the observer, the learner. She doesn't talk much, but when she does, it's worth listening to her.

My brain keeps running scenes of these four ladies as a superhero team, and I totally wish it was an actual series we could all watch. Definitely hope they come together for more in the future. Fun, impressive, totally inspiring ladies.

America is having fun and pushing all the political correctness vocabulary we have got so familiar with! If one would look at their speech it would conclude this is the happiest and fittest nation that ever existed, but then they have millions of psychiatrists and nutritionists and lawyers to prove the real picture is somewhat different from what they want us to see.

They should do another showdown with the same people. Maybe give them a month to prepare so they have better technique and big improvement for the areas they did not do so well. Perhaps add something from Strongman, cerebral, and crush watermelons with the legs instead of them. In addition, I wish they'd interviewed the ladies together.

All ya'll criticizing the host for using the word "catty' gotta chill out. He's just having fun with his job and he gets backlash for using a term humorously. This is why the outrage culture of today sucks because people get criticized for having fun.
