Pass at 1:55 looks simple, but it requires SO MUCH vision and timing to execute. DJ appears open as he starts his roll, but he's actually not because of all the help converging on him (especially from Davis). Luka waits a split second to when DJ is seemingly surrounded, THEN decides to pass the ball just as the help starts to recover back to the perimeter and their momentum takes them away from DJ. Luka doesn't pass to the open player who will be covered, he passes to the covered player who WILL be open.

yawn. I hate players like this. They're just slow, average guys who've been trained like out of a book on fundamentals and shit and they're effective but lame. No speed, he looks like an awkward, unathletic, kinda pudgy giant "guy" who plays smart and all but I don't really care about watching it. He's like Larry Bird. Good but I don't care. Like a Honda accord of basketball. He's no ferrari.

How the American media makes a huge story out of everything. Little lies all around just for the story.
As much as I am aware he played for Real Madrid professionally (senior team) first when he was 16. And that was more or less just a few appearances. The next 2 seasons at 17 and 18 were proper professional seasons.
p.s. This was an attack on the media not on Doncic obviously. #doncicgoat

The Mavericks should go all in on Anthony Davis. You could have arguably the two best players in the league at a young age in 2 years , and cap room because Luka is on a rookie contract. That with a great coach and owner , sounds like a dynasty to me.

Rick Carlisle coached Chauncey to ECF in '03 and now coaches Doncic. He also coached undrafted Ben Wallace into a 2x DPY superstar. Then coached Ron Artest to DPY the next year and got IND to ECF, and later got Dirk to a championship. I think he deserves some of the credit for Doncic's success. Luka's great himself, but maybe not as good this soon if playing for a lesser coach.

Luka is good because the sole reason for it is that hes a Serb. Serbs, ancient Dinaric race people, very tall, dark face, warlike folk are among best sportsman's of the planet: Just take a look at that region of ex Yugoslavia where the Dinaric race lives: Luka Modric, Rakitic football players, Lovren, Mitrovic, Bobby Marjanovic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Bojan Bogdanovic, Nikola Jokic, and of course Novak Djokovic...remeber Vidic, Ivanovic, then tennis player Ana Ivanovic, Miralem Pjanic, Edin Dzeko, Mario Mandzukic, Bjelica, Teodosic...
Some of you probably remember Divac, Stojakovic, Radmanovic, Marko Jaric, Darko Milicic, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Raduljica, Ratko Varda, Nikola Pekovic Packman, Goran and Zoran Dragic [both Serbs playing for Slovenia]
Cedi Osman, Miras Turkcan, Hido Turkoglu their mothers are Serbian..>That tells a lot.

    • MontenegriN TigeR
      MontenegriN TigeR 23 дня назад

+Kaos Pat The point is Luka Doncic is a race of Dinarides. A Dinaric race of people coming from the region of ex Yugoslavia.
These people are the tallest people on the planet averaging about 188cm possibly even more in some regions.
For example in Herzegovina and Montenegro the average height is about 191cm...
These people are tall, with warlike features of their face, incredibly tough.

+Dzevad Bajraktarevic A French historian from Sorbonne wrote the following about early Middle Age period in his capital work 'Historie de la Bulgaria", Paris, Sorbonne, 1913.: "On the east, there was Serbia and on the west its regions: Croatia, Bosnia, and Dalmatia".
Btw, Germany recently abandoned its Berlin Congress 1878 position and recognized that all of Balkan is one and only Serb tribe. Alexander The Great was a Serb Karanovic. The famous Marco Polo was also a Serb Popovic. Rudjer Boskovic was a Serb. Knight Chaslav, a Serb, ruled over Bosnia in 980. Etc. etc. All these facts are being recognized more and more by Serb enemies such as Germans and French. The truth is hard to hide in the age of internet.
So if you now go to your attic, just like Emir Kusturica did, you may find a national registration card of your grand or grand grandfather, in which it is clearly stated that he is a Serb. When Kusturica found out that he is a Serb, he went to an Orthodocx church and took a Christian name Nemanja. He returned to the Faith of ancestors. Follow his steps and you will find piece. As Andric wrote, you abandoned Serbian ancestry, but on your way toward Turkey you stopped half way, so you are now confused. You speak Serbian, look back, look forward, and you are confused.

People, Chauncey is one of the smartest players ever... he had an insane basketball IQ and he was also all about making the right play to WIN... that's why he loves Luka so much... Luka plays to WIN... he would take a win with him having 2 points over a loss with him having 20...
Also what Chauncey is saying about Luka being one of the best PLAYERS in the NBA right now is absolutely true because he plays way above the level that players his age play and the main thing is his CLUTCH PERFORMANCE.... you see players 22-23 years old that are already stars in the NBA have huge trouble shooting the big shot in the end... and this guy does it like it's second nature to him... he's as cool as Chauncey was (huge clutch performer in his prime) or even as Kobe was... you don't see him hurry or throw it up on a prayer... he dribbles over and over... he feints over and over... until he gets the tiny little amount of space he needs to shoot... and when he gets it you see him release the ball without being in a hurry, without fear of the clock or the opponent... he thinks "this is my shot... I got it... just another shot..."
This is PRICELESS on a player... LeBron freakin James has struggled in clutch time for the first DECADE of his career... and he may even be the best player that has ever walked the planet earth... best all around player for sure... Jordan much better scorer... Lebron much better all around... Basketball is not about scoring or passing... basketball is ultimately about WINNING... and this kid is a winner... if Lebron could trade Kuzma, Ingram and Lonzo (I'm a huge fan of Lonzo btw... you all haters are clueless about good basketball... the kid has good work ethic and huge potential) all together for him he would do it on a heartbeat... you can find another Ingram, you can find another Kuzma, you can find another athletic wing... finding a clutch shooting winner??? Once every decade...
And finally... assist numbers are worth jack shit... COURT VISION IS WHAT MATTERS... making the right pass even if it's not an assist... people say "he has more assists... he's a better passer...". NO!!! The man with the most assists is not the best passer... in that logic Westbrook who has almost zero awareness of which one is the best pass (without it being an assist) would be a better passer than LeBron... and Duncan would be a mediocre passer because he didn't have 10 assists... but Duncan was a godlike court vision passer... so stop counting freakin assists... assists aren't everything... numbers aren't everything... there's only one stat that counts... WHO WINS THE MOST GAMES... which means out of all the guys with big numbers who's numbers are translating into the most upside for his team... big number without good results for the team are useless... they mean nothing...
Thanks for reading all this crap... 😁

+Coolest Guy On The Internet Dude, Lebron is better all around because he is just as good a defender MJ was if not better (hand checking let defenders play pretty dirty and let's face it... MJ was fouling A LOT and not being called because refs were told to let him do whatever he wanted) and Lebron is a much better passer than MJ was with better court vision... MJ was a much better scorer than anyone... but scoring is not the only skill in basketball... for me the best player of all time was Magic... made everyone around him INSANELY better, made the finals 8 times in 10 years, won 5 and retired at the age of 31... waaaay too young... Magic is really cheated in the GOAT conversation because he ended his career with 13.5 assists per game... that's A LOT of points... and combined with his 19ppg you get a HUGE number...even bigger than Jordan's total point from points and assists...
Magic was the best player of all time because he made scrubs like Kurt Rambis notable in the history books, he made James Worthy and Byron Scott from good players into Hall of Famers and the only reason he's not seen as the GOAT is because he was unselfish and cared only about winning...
8 finals in 10 years, 5 rings... and against much tougher teams than MJ faced... Larry's Celtics and the Bad Boy Pistons were TOUGH... compared to them the 90's teams MJ faced were jokes... UTAH had Stockton and Malone... period... Hornacek and Russel were the only other decent players and nothing else... while MJ had Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Kerr, Harper... waaaay too much talent... without him these guys almost reached the finals...
anyway... Magic is the best of all time for me and he deserves it much more than the arrogant, disrespectful asshole that MJ is... it's not wonder he came out of the league with zero friends... a true winner is someone that respect the guy that came second... MJ only cared for himself... I saw him talk on the last game of Pippen's career... man he's arrogant... he was talking like Pippen helped him a little... we're talking about SCOTTIE PIPPEN!!! MJ should have been bowing to him in respect... without Pippen he would have been just a ringless talent...
anyway... Magic is the one for me...

+Christopher Liu Magic took on the Bird Man for the length of his career and was successful in winning. Magic made his team mates better and didn't need to average over 40 points a game to win. Magic is head and shoulders above Lebron. And Bird is still ahead for me unless Lebron gets another championship. Lebron imo, does not come close to MJ, Kareem, Russel, Magic. He is close to Bird, but still not there yet. This love for athleticism over skill is the problem.
