I use to love watching movies. But like the rest of the world Hollywood is a shell of itself. Desperately reaching, trying to hand on for dear life. Ofcourse Hollywood in particular are Devil worshiping ,child molesters. Safe to say this world is walking the plank. There's literally nothing worth your time now days but hard work and Jesus Christ. And hard work is not a guarentee.

Congratulations on one of your better lists, particularly since it actually included some films made before 1980! My only caveat is to ask why anyone would want to watch the original Pulp Fiction a second time, much less a remake. BLEAH!!! But putting 2001 #1 on the list is brilliant, especially since cinematic dunderheads have long talked about a remake. Thank you for putting the lie to their tragic myopia. Infants should NEVER be allowed into the film studio.

  • Kenny 613
    Kenny 613 3 months ago

A movie that has been remade twice should have never been done again. I recently rewatched the original King Kong. The original has charm and genuine suspense. You would think that a 1933 movie couldn’t hold up to time. It does. The others pale in comparison.

  • Kenny 613
    Kenny 613 3 months ago

2001 is great, but needs to be re-edited. Some parts drag, and it would be good just to cut a combination of a 1/2 hour off of the film. Never remake it.

  • Emilio Manuel De Pedro

There is something i like to call "subtle remake". It works like this: if a film is too decent to be remade, instead you make a film with a similar plot, but with different title, different characters, different setting, etc. For example, if you want to make a "subtle remake" of Star Wars, just make another space opera film with some references to the saga.

  • luxor1001
    luxor1001 4 months ago

A studio would think of a re-make ONLY if a movie is a good one of its KIND. That means NOBODY would think of re-making a sui generis movie like Citizen Kane, Schindler's List, My Dinner with André,
Koyaanisquatsi, Being John Malkovitch, Being There, Reds, Last Tango in Paris, Apocalypse Now, A Clockwork Orange, AI, Eyes Wide Shut, etc.

    -The Shawshank Redemption(1994)
    -John Carpenter’s The Thing(1982)
    -Mr Smith Goes To Washington(1939
    -12 Angry Men(1957)

    • Emilio Manuel De Pedro

If they remade Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, they should put Oliver Stone as director and some Oscar winner as the main actor. And if it weren't for the fact that the character is suppoused to be caucasian, i would recommend the great Denzel Washington.
