"Pre (European) history" Africans were there for several centuries via Atlantic and Brazilian ocean currents before Asians crossed the northern ice bridges after the last ice age.Africans with already established architecture and agriculture knowledge came to the "new world" and just adapted what they already knew about hot weather survival into the new circumstances.Or aliens. Whichever narratives makes white people feel less triggered.
Maybe the embankments are for holding water for a reflection pond. Stargazing with nature's oldest mirror. Naturally we are all curious about the stars and what they mean, many early religions looked at the stars as gods. They created calendars and maps. I don't think that it's so hard to beleive that people all over the world shared this fascination.
RIP Billy Conforto who died in an embankment...
The Spaniards are the worst Explorers ever.
Don't uncover new and old diseases
What about in the ocean? 🤔🤔🤔
And leftists want to burn it down.
Lol how brainwashed are you, bolsonario is destroy ING the Amazon he is a right wing fascist.
White peoples really been destroying this world for centuries.. took small pox to the amazons and killed whole civilizations 😤
Making homes out of rocks is just smart... the amount of crap it takes to build a modern home is insane... Assholes making money... when can we quit all this crap and just focus on keeping asteroids away and pressure releasing the super volcanoes.
they probably used dead bodies to make the soil
The AmAzOniAN WoMEn did it
All burnt down now
Joe “ so these people shit inside the soil till it produced DMT” Rogan
No respect for the ancient world? The "indigenous" are burning the range forrest for years. No Swedes with matches there.
Bolsonario wants to destroy the rainforest
"Soilent Green" is Peeeeeeple!
Love when joe Rogan gets these scientists on and he shuts up 😂
Corey Dopp he’s actually extremely versed in many subjects and clearly states when he isn’t an expert and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, go hate on Logan Paul or something weeb
Corey Dopp that’s not really true at all, you must’ve never watched a full episode and just watched highlights and now spew ur bullshit trying to get other people to agree with you 🤔
Lol yeah. Hes usually interrupting everyone, getting mad at Jamie, and if someone interrupts him, he gets mad lmao. I think one of the reason he does shut up and not interrupt guests like this is because he really doesnt know anything about the subject so he has nothing to interrupt with, AND not knowing anything about said subject, he is trying to absorb the knowledge and learn a little bit. Rogan is a pretty good podcast host though I think.
Smallpox?.... evidence, and, well, how convenient....
Massive cities where technology was tier 1 for the times, but yet, when we find natives, they are in the stone age? I whole heartedly believe that there's numerous things to discover in the Amazon... but this guy really sounds too excited. He wants to play up every single detail and blow it out of proportion. It's hard to believe that the nasty European cities could last through several epidemics, but not a single city from the Amazon could.
@gabriel hunt I'd be pretty arrogant to say that I know the secrets of the Amazon...but to me this just sounds like a guy who's very excited and escalates everything he's finding.
Well they were more secluded because of thick forest, so I cld see that being the case
Joe "will that soil to grow my dmt" rogan
next week they realise the Chinese were there much earlier
Burn it down
sounds like an extra large worm bin to me. how else do you explain the microbiome. should get a authentic sample from an ancient farm and look for preserved worm tunnels.
Defo space ship landing sites
Just leave the rain forest alone. It makes zero sense to destroy the biggest mass of trees that feeds our oxygen levels on earth. People are animals . And people are ignorant and destructive as fuck.
Joe Rogan should choose guests who are more qualified to discuss issues of history and archaeology
Hancock is qualified.
Because they don't want us to now this stuff. They would have just downplayed it. Graham knows what he's talking about and is plenty qualified
Who else wish they where born in one of those amazon city’s all those thousand of years ago and not if this modern world like if u agree 👍
Yeah, I hope you pray not to be sacrificed by the sun God via heart extraction.
This takes people saying “I was born in the wrong generation” to the next level
I forgot I was listening to a clip
Probably not a good idea to excavate in the Amazon
This was a fuckin cool podcast
And then the U.S. and Brazil enter into an agreement to "develop" the Amazon rainforest just as these discoveries are being made. Surely just a coincidence. If you work for the FBI and are reading this, I'm totally kidding.
I became aroused when he started talking about inventing dirt.....🤦♂️
Bio char is made by burning human waste . Could you imagine the smell from thousands of people crapping they just happened to find a solution to that problem then they discovered plants grew very well in that spot.
The amozon was probably Chernobyl of the past. So everyone stayed away but life uhh uhh finds a way lol.
Paulie!!!!!!! Lmfao. Paulie can sniff 30 subs in a half hour smoked 20 blunts. Did 27 lines of cocaine then did 8 back flips then threw his ceiling fan across the room lmfao
the Greeks lol. everything they did was African.
jon david lol.. where africa today?
Maybe it was there version of a map or way of orienting which direction you wanted to travel idk
I do not care how many 'pieces of paper' this academic has to his credit, he is full of 'book learned billshit'. Too many examples to list, but to begin with his 'assertion' that there were once several cities with over 20 millions of people living there is total crap compared to previous history. Also to say that rainforest soil is 'infertile poor quality for growing', is more bullshit. If that is true, how come it grows trees hundreds of feet tall and so dense it is near impossible to get through. Not to mention the tremendous diversity of animal and insect life. If the soil is so poor, they are they clearing the forest at alarming rates to grow all kinds of food crops ? This 'so called expert' is merely another academic blowing off bullshit and people actually believe that shit merely because he has some piece of fucking paper that cost thousands of dollars to buy. All that paper means is that he is good at theories (unproven and most likely self serving bullshit). Most academics I have met are more full of pompous, self serving, closed minded bullshit and refuse to consider that what they learned from their books, was written by another full of shit 'scientist'.
And now with the recent fires to the forest I wonder how much of these structures were destroyed..
Imagine if people polluted the world so much they dedicated a area the size of India to plant trees and clean the air, and now we are destroying it
So the biblical account stands out! Cool! People started out smarter than they are today. Knew it!
So life started in the Amazon not Africa and the great migration took place to Europe, ice melted then we have what was so called “human evolution”
Lol at how many of you believe Graham because of his middle-class English accent. I have this exact same voice and I’m a totally stupid piece of shit.
There wont be much off a Amazon in some time
I remember seeing a video about this old native guy, stuffing cow horns with the biochar and then let microbea do their thing. Super soil
If we could now the Amazon jungle we are stupid 😡 we need oxygen to breathe soybean Farmers cannot produce enough freaking oxygen
Whsts the mystery they got plants bugs native peoples snakes fucking animals that go in your dick no thanks
Hitler and Tupac hiding in a secret Oase in the Amazon with an ancient race who's Technologie is comparable with the one from Wakanda.
Laser Reveal Mayan MegacitiesTWiT Tech Podcast NetworkOn The New Screen Savers, Leo Laporte and Florence Ion talk with Archeologist and National Geographic Explorer, Thomas Garrison. His Team used LIDAR to scan hundreds of square miles of Guatemalan jungle and discovered thousands of new Mayan structures, roads, buildings, and reservoirs.
This is the best shit to listen to while smoking pot, if you disagree fuck you
How can the soil of a RAINFOREST not be fertile?
Well you can grow stuff in a desert if you add water plain sand is fertile.
Volcano ash does the same thing..
...They used compost maybe
Why don't we just cut down the parts of the Amazon that has structures under? Saves the hassle of people in another 500 years re-re-discoerving structures and taking it down. Grows back in a 100 years anyway.
I do not have any knowledge about soil but I may be wrong but there is something very similar to black earth in the region where I live in southern Brazil. My grandfather and uncles have always said it is the best kind of land for planting.
well joe don,t worry in 20 years there won,t be a amazon just farms and destroyed land no wildlife just cows and carparks
I love this guy!
Graham “intrigued” Hancock
The convincing British accent is the same accent that lured countless people’s around the world which were slaughtered because everyone believed in that pretty accent.
@Tan295 oh Americans are so much better
dannass5 I’m just saying we’ve gotta watch out for these Brits. One second they’re on their island and the next they’re setting up trading posts and spreading Christianity.
Let me guess, your girl cheated on you with a lad?
I didn't knew that !
If you buy something on AMAZON they deliver it the next day!
