1967 Jaguar E-Type XKE 4.2 Coupe - Full Restoration

  • Published on Nov 23, 2018
  • Watch this 1967 Jaguar XKE - a numbers matching 4.2 coupé that was neglected for many years get transformed to its former glory. Originally finished in Old English White with red interior, the colors certainly did not bring out the fabulous curves of this iconic car. The owner decided that during restoration it would be re-sprayed in Jaguar Dorchester Gray with concours correct blue Conley leather interior to match.

Are you completely out of your bloody mind? What happened to the spoke wheels? What is it about those shitty air intakte slits in the bonnet?
This is a Jag, bloody hell, not one of your Jankee "muscle" cars. If you feel like messing up cars, stick to your Detroit rubbish, you proletarian bunch of halfwits.

I am a professional transmission rebuilder. the transmission in that car is a Borg warner T5, they also had a T4 4sp. a lot of car company's used it. GM had them in the 80s-90s Camaros, S10 trucks in the , firebirds. ford used them in mustangs in the 80s-90s Nissan 300 ZX had them and even jeeps used them. they were a good transmission but surprisingly not tuff when some abuse/hot rodding was applied. I made a lot of money rebuilding them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Lap belts .... none of this modern inertia rubbish
I have yet to see another car that when you look at it (Even half built) stirs emotions that make you well up and you fight that lump in your throat.

      Joshua Rosen 4 months ago

@brian hutchinson Good grief. It was meant as a light-hearted comment. It is clearly beyond dispute that how good looking something is is a matter of opinion not fact (although your opinion is certainly a minority one). I suggest you try to not to take silly comments from a complete stranger on RU-clip too seriously.
By the way, feel free to express your opinion on me as rudely as you like. I have better things to worry about than what you think and you should have better things to worry about than what I think.
      You are wrong though.

My favorite Jag of all time, left it mostly intact. Which is rare. Didn't like they changed the interior color. And what happened to those gorgeous wire wheels? The wire wheels is what makes that car. Sorry, but I'm a purist. I want it to look like the day it rolled the factory.
