Next weekend I am off to Brussels. June I have Amsterdam coming up and September Madrid is booked. Nothing else so far though. Lisbon and Dubrovnik is also on my list at some point this year.

Japan & S. Korea, if you can, look at Okinawa and possibly Guam. I lived on both of them and love them. You may get bored quickly on Guam but it is beautiful. Just watch out for the brown tree snake. Okinawa is much bigger and you definitely need to see Naha & Nago.

NCL Epic out of Barcelona you can sometimes find good deals. They have solo cabins as well for 1. I'm American, so we get different deals. But I've gotten that cruise fro $499 once and the last time it was $549...7 days :)

Me and my boyfriend backpacked Norway and Sweden last year! Flights from Aberdeen into Bergen Norway were really cheap. Air Bnb for a couple was cheaper than hostels. We did a workaway in hard anger fjord and it was amazing! Whilst there we did trolltunga, a really long beautiful walk - hire a car maybe from Bergen for this? We got a ferry from Bergen to stavanger (also cheap) where we did priekestolen - although we didn't enjoy that city as it was mainly a cruise destination. Check out flixbus, overnight busses (travel and save on accomodation) and also overnight trains in Norway! Travelling isn't expensive, eating out is though so we mainly cooked for ourselves ๐Ÿ˜Š

Aly, 'All inclusive' often means "We've got your money already, so we don't need to give you customer service". Plenty of packages aren't 'all inclusive' and still give you the chance to investigate the area.

Japan isn't actually as expensive as most people think. It definitely CAN be, but local hot springs/public baths are super fun and super cheap, supermarket food and kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi are really cheap, and it also has really nice affordable hostels! If you leave the city you get incredible landscapes, nice people, and much cheaper prices also! Highly recommend spring or fall :)

There is so much more to the the US than NYC. It spans a continent, for goodness sake. Culture from one end to the other, is totally different. I'm from upstate NY, and even THAT is a 180 from NYC. Rural, hiking, farms, finger lakes wine country, lol. I wish you would see more than just The City. To say you have seen anything about America when it's just NYC is so inaccurate. Now, I'm from the US, and I'd much rather travel Europe, Canada, the Caribbean any day of my life, but you seem to love NYC so much.... I just hope you realize that's not anything close to experiencing the US.

Norway is expensive but there are bargains. You should consider trying the Hurtigruten cruises off the west coast to see the fiords - very good price. I've done it and it was great. Also in Norway I found the standards are so high that even the basic hotels have great beds and showers and duvets and include huge breakfast that leaves no need for lunch. So no need to go for more stars. www.hurtigruten.com/destinations/norway/?gclid=CjwKCAiAgrfhBRA3EiwAnfF4tvpIXeBmCJF5EzNubhmqmbWxwxodyjv_Jw3qO53I3KnaXlLyOYpQDBoCY3oQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

If you want to challenge yourself with the budget, you definitely need to check out Hawaii ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚ it's like no other place but many choose not to go because of the price. I just got back from 6 weeks there and I did the whole trip ( round trip airfare from MSP to OGG, flights between islands, excursions, accommodation, volunteering, shopping, food, ECT) for about $2500. But I bet you could do it cheaper! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚ And I'm not a RU-clipr lol ๐Ÿ˜…

I've been to Japan twice, the flights are going to be the most expensive part but there are many ways to stay, eat and travel there cheaply. But !!!!!DO NOT GO IN SPRING!!!!!!!!! Spring is high tourism season in Japan and the flights, hotels, everything are way overpriced. You're going to pay more than double for the flights than what you might in the winter.

Japan isn't a terribly expensive place to travel to, I was surprised to hear you put it on an expensive list like the Scandinavian countries! Get a JR Railpass and that covers you for city to city train travel as well as within a town or city. (Don't bother with the SUICA card,(like an Oyster card) just use the JR rail system, I've never used the Tokyo subway as I've just used the trains. The Railpass also covers the train from Narita) Food is really cheap, just go to convenience stories, they're on every corner! Along with vending machines. It gets expensive if you want to do the Themed cafes and up market restaurants. Japanese pubs, the Izakaya, are cheap to eat in. Also there's supermarkets, don't shop at the higher end department store Food Halls (like Takashimaya) that's where you find the $60 melons, also buy what fruit is in season, Japan doesn't import much so out of season fruit is expensive. Accomodation, these past fews months the Japanese government has cracked down on Airbnb so there's been a dramatic fall in how many are around. Go for an authentic Japanese experience and stay at Business Hotels, set up basically for the travelling business (generally man!) the rooms are small but cheap and they have a nightshirt and slippers for you. The inroom bathroom is a tiny one, like on a plane! It's not a ryokan but a lot cheaper, also Business hotels tend to be close to train stations for convenience. Final suggestion, get out of Tokyo, Tokyo isn't 'Japan' it's a large cosmopolitan city, you might as well be in London or New York. So many people think they've 'done' Japan if they spend a week in Tokyo, a few days in Kyoto, and the really adventurous go to Hiroshima and Miyajima. There's a lot more to explore and it's very easy to travel around in Japan, the more rural areas it's possible to hire a car and travel there, I highly recommend that!

Visiting Japan is actually not as expensive as many people think - apart from the flight tickets coming from Europe of course. Flying into Narita airport is usually cheaper since it's a bit further away from Tokyo center whereas Haneda airport is directly in Tokyo but you shouldn't forget to add the money you need to pay for the bus/skyliner/train to get to your accommodation.
I went to Japan twice on a budget. The first time I mixed accommodations - couchsurfing, Airbnb and Hotels so I could lower my expenses. You can get a very nice Airbnb in Tokyo for 20-25โ‚ฌ per night - if you want to, I can send you the link of my last Airbnb, my Host also has a Kendo training center so you can take a lesson. It was really cool! :)
It's best to get pocket wifi at the airport so with google maps you can find the easiest and cheapest way to get from A to B f.e. within Tokyo and especially other cities since ticket machines are not always in English. Also, instead of typing in the destination you have to choose a ticket by price - unfortunately the maps above the ticket machines are often in japanese so Google Maps was my saver so many times, haha!
Another way to save money is eating at 7Eleven/Lawson/Family Mart - they have so many good and fresh food options for a small price! Fresh salad, sushi, filled rice balls, yaki soba and so much more - perfect for a "What to get for 10.000 Yen in Tokyo challenge"! :P
Okay, before I go on forever I'll stop here, haha! Have an awesome day! :)

Kat tbh I agree! You canโ€™t blame us for saying this Aly! I am a huge supporter of yours but it does seem odd to go from not being able to afford going anywhere to suddenly planning to go to Caribbean, Scandinavia, japan&south Korea , Belize , NYC etc all in the space of a year without sponsorship! If your money does fluctuate it would be great to see a video on that :)

+PsychoTraveller That would be GREAT. I love real talks. Though not sure what myths you want to squash here.... I am not questioning the price of your trips. Yes, you can TOTALLY do these countries and these kind of trips on a budget, cruises, for example, can actually be super cheap...there are always travel hacks, and there are plenty of blogs out there on basically ALL countries and how to do them on a budget. Usig workaway, couchsurfer, for example, Japan or anything else can be affordable.... It is about picking and choosing your activities, meals, and accommodation right.... There are totally affordable packaged trips, my friends who prefer those, do them... You can do last minute booking and error 'fair' type deals for cheap too. Literally, anything you listed can be done on a budget (though what is a 'budget' depends on the person and when we talk about 'budget travel' it is still super privilage-talk to be honest). However, you are planning so many ridiculous trips that even if they are on a budget and super cheap it is super odd since a few months ago you complained how you had no money to travel at all and you could only do it because of the free press/sponsored trips. And now you have a million trips planned which add up unless they are sponsored trips. There is no 'myth' around it to squash. Or reading people's comments maybe there is?! Or perhaps 'no money' didn't actually mean 'no money' but 'no money FOR travel' as you were perhaps saving up for the house or sthing?

PsychoTraveller yes to the real talk! Also I hope what I said didnโ€™t come across badly!!! It just seems like a hell of a lot of pricey places for the course of 12 months ๐Ÿ˜‚ praying you do make it work tho,the vlogs would be INSANE xx

It's really interesting reading this ๐Ÿ˜ I'm thinking maybe I should do a realtalk on money to maybe let you in on that side a bit more and definitely squash some myths. Also, thank you both for being respectful, I do appreciate it ๐Ÿ˜˜

โ€‹+Madalena Caldas Based on the # of reviews she has on goodreads(9 reviews and 47 ratings) and amazon (10 reviews) and her ranking on amazon, she probably didn't sell that many books...definitely not to afford all these vacations. She is not earning that much on youtube alone. Though of course, you don't know if she is getting some great donations or sponsorships, or if she has inherited shit from her family... or all this is really just a hint to companies to offer her the right presstrips. This is what I suspect and in that case it is genius from her part...though also kinda sad for people who want to see how to do certain places or type of trips on a budget. I watch her for her personality though, not her travel advice, I've been traveling way longer than she has, and generally don't follow travel vlogs/blogs. But I like her personality, especially her real talks!

Love your videos. Can I suggest looking as some Goats on the Road videos if you are planning to go to the Caribbean? I love, love, love them. www.goatsontheroad.com/ Also, one of my goals this year is to be able to support some of the channels and podcasts that I enjoy. I hope that at some point this year I can send something your way. Keep up the good work and I hope 2019 is a fun year for you.

Oh finally North Eastern India! About damn time.
Now you're gonna realise just how diverse India is .
There is an Indian travel vlogger called Tanya Khanijow. She has vlogs of some North Eastern states.
Darjeeling is the one of the biggest exporters of Tea so you are going to be right at home :D
Leh Ladakh Spiti valley are amazing places to visit too. Try to cover them as well.
And March is the beginning summer/ end of spring in India and summers can be pretty terrible so you'd appreciate the weather there in Leh in the protection of the Himalayas
But you're English so bad weather isn't going to be a new issue is it ^_^

Cruises donโ€™t have to be that expensive, as long as you donโ€™t waste money on things like drink packages and cruise line-run shore excursions. If youโ€™re going on a Caribbean cruise that leaves from the US, youโ€™ll probably spend more on airfare than I do, coming from DC. But as someone accustomed to solo travel, youโ€™re free to get off the ship at each port and just wander around on your own - thatโ€™s what I always do.

Iโ€™m waiting for the day you go to South America tbh ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I always say it but it just looks so amazing! And there doesnโ€™t seem to be much travel video content there at all! Patagonia or Galapagos on a budget would be EPIC and also Brazillll! Brazil seriously is the most beautiful country Iโ€™ve been too , the coast line is insane and the people are just amazing ๐Ÿ˜

Yes please bring the Everywhere Challenge back!!! I loved it! Iโ€™ve also never been on a cruise but might be booking one after college graduation (leaving from Tampa, wanting the cheapest one possible lol) so Iโ€™d love to know your experience! Tampa and Miami have huge cruise ports! Also, if itโ€™s not on your Caribbean list, I loved Cuba this year โค๏ธ

If you want to go on a cruise and you want to go to Norway I recommend taking the Hurtigruten up the coast of Norway to Kirkenes. Many stops along the way. Bit expensive but they have sales. Amazing views. Amazing ships. I went to Helsinki last year then took the overnight ferry to Stockholm. The ferry was more like a cruise ship, and cheap. Lots to do/see and so much more fun than flying. In India I recommend Ladakh and the beautiful Himalayas but you need a good driver/guide. I'm sure your Indian friends will help you there. Happy travels. I'm off to Tromso soon to see the lights - hopefully.

OMG YAAAAAAS QUEEN! *excited dance* These plans sound great! ๐Ÿ˜ I liked especially the cruise idea. ๐Ÿ˜‹ Oh, food for thought when you are planning your Nordic trip; there is this amazing medieval fair with actual craftsmen in the city of Turku at the end on June and there is a real tournament with knights and horses and it is simply amazing! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜ If you want to know more, I'm happy to tell more. ๐Ÿ˜Š

A good idea for the cruise and Caribbean - look at repositioning cruises - a lot of them head in that direction and means you can kill 2 birds with one stone !!
