Nope... The Greek Freak will win it again. And I have no issue with that. I don't like Harden's style of play. There should be an MVP award for "most post season choker". Lol

When James Harden actually plays defense and can play BOTH ends of the floor at an elite level like MJ, Kobe, Kareem, LeBron, Duncan, etc then we can begin to address this.
Try scoring off the freethrow line, by not travelling AND while playing elite defense first, Harden.

Why all these fierceness on Harden !!! (KD+SC+KT+DG in a good shape ,no injury ) no one can beat them and ask it to LeBron in 2k18 NBA final with 4-0 serie .Harden did his best when Rockets faced warriors but how to win when u score more than 35pts in a game and defensively ur team cannot stop Steph and klay 3pts shots like a snipers ,KD like a super man and the beast draymond .please stop critizing and enjoy what he is doing coz it's just amazing

Harden is overrated. Nick left out his 3pt attempts & percentages. SAS wouldve pointed that out

  • Chris Joseph

I like how nick wright says he’s the first perimeter play to average these numbers when Jordan averaged 37 in his third season with no second option yet and followed it up with 35 ppg and was named defensive player of the year and league MVP all this with no second option... Kobe infamous 06 season averaged 35 and had no second option and 07 32 ppg... and Kobe was also better defensively than harden.... if harden averages plus 35 this season he would have done it with a farrrrr superior supporting cast both seasons with Chris Paul first time and russel Westbrook second time... along with Clint capela, Pj tucker and so on.... also rules that allow him to be fouled on almost every possession... people may say why isn’t anyone else doing it in this era.. 1) Dantoni isn’t everyone’s coach.... harden wasn’t doing this before dantoni he was 28-31 ppg which is great but not historically great... need I remind people of the unanimous MVP season by Steph curry when he averaged 30 point per game on 50-45-90 shooting splits ! And him having the 5th highest TS % percentage this year is a bogus stat.. if most of your points come from the free throw line and you shoot roughly 88 percent ur TS will be high even tho you shoot below 45 from the field... and 3 of the best shooters are injured curry,KD and klay... and don’t give me none sense saying he puts his body in the line for contact... most of his free throws are stupid and he travels a lot... Lebron has his lowest FT attempts this season and he drives a lot and more physical than harden... other big men such as AD and embiid don’t even get to the line as much...

Harden has to do this in the playoffs and win, he’s not underrated or not appreciated. The guy is amazingly creative, clever and can’t be guarded in the regular season. His style of play and relying on the refs so heavily has not worked to well in the playoffs thus far.

  • Bobby Verdin
    Bobby Verdin Month ago +2

He takes 24 shots/game with a decent shooting percentage at best. He knows how to take advantage of officiating which is smart, but if he's not on your team it becomes annoying to watch and almost feels cheap. And on top of all of that, he has still yet to live up to that same level in the postseason. Not underrated.

I agree with Natsu Dragneel below, I think Harden is underappreciated NOT underrated. Harden jacks up a BUNCH of 3's and spends MOST of his time at the free throw line. The dude takes like 20 free throws a game, then when they adjust the rules in the Playoffs he crumbles. His window for a championship is the next 3 to 4 yrs. If they can't knock out these LA teams he will NEVER win a championship.

So let me get this straight, when he misses 25 shots in a row in the playoffs that's just bad luck? But when he makes shots that must be luck to correct?

Idc what no one says, the way he plays is not respectable. I commend his legitimate good games, but if refs didn’t exist he’d be a 20 ppg scorer.

smitty werbenjagermanjensen subjective??? When you watch his games you see how he grabs people or flops but it’s against the opponent, nothing subjective about that. Tell me in what world where James harden should get more foul calls than Giannis or LeBron who play WAY MORE physical and have to be nearly tackled to be stopped but he AVERAGES way more fouls than both of them, especially LeBron

Why would someone want to play like him if his style is proven to lose and make other teammates cold because they not touching the ball. This dude is a glorified bench player. He is overrated and should be coming off the bench like he used to and be used like Lou Williams. This bum couldn’t even win with ibaka KD and Westbrook all on the same team. A lot of guys can score and put up points. Doesn’t mean your a winner

  • Le_Noir

There’s a difference between a great scorer and a great player. Harden is just a great scorer, doesn’t make he’s teammates better. They just stand there while he dribbles the ball for 22 seconds . You can’t win championships like this

If Lebron wouldve played Houston instead of GS, he wouldve won in 6. If Houston wouldve played Toronto they wouldve gotten swept. Idk where all these what if scenarios come from but there isnt a single one where Harden is a champion or multiple time MVP. Give Klay 1000 3's a season and Harden probably ain't even the best at his position anymore. That's not downplaying, it's pure fact.

  • Eric Lind
    Eric Lind 2 months ago

Harden fools refs into calling fouls. He grabs/hooks defenders and that creates contact. They need to change the rules so that if the offensive player grabs a defender, it is an automatic offensive fouls. The offensive player has no business grabbing the defender at all. When LAC put Kawhi on Harden, all Harden could do was con the refs into 2 fouls where the replay clearly showed that he hooked Kawhi on both plays.
