In a new interview with InStyle magazine Melissa McCarthy reveals that she was body shamed during an interview while she was promoting Bridesmaids. "He kept asking, 'Are you shocked that you actually work in this business at your tremendous size?' " she said. "He was like, 'Oh, your tremendous size, you can actually work?' I just remember all the blood drained out of me. I thought, 'With my tremendous size, I could tackle you so quickly.’” Producers apologized to McCarthy at the end of the interview and assured her they would not air it. McCarthy did not identify her interviewer but gave a clue saying that he “later lost his job for a conversation he had on a bus with someone else.”
Rose McGowan will enter a “no contest” plea to reduced drug charges in court next week. Prosecutors have agreed to reduce her felony charges to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and will recommend that she be charged a fine. "Ms. McGowan has accepted this agreement in order to spare her family, her friends, and her supporters the emotional strain of a criminal trial," attorney James Hundley said. "The agreement brings this ordeal to an end and allows her to focus all of her energy on what matters most to her -- creating a better world. Ms. McGowan will comment on the day of the plea."
Jamie Lee Curtis is not impressed with the Fiji Water Girl’s photobombing at the Golden Globes. “I specifically moved away from the blatant promotions by Fiji and Moet where young women with their trays filled with their wares stood near a designated camera,” Curtis captioned a photo of herself from the Globes with the Fiji girl. “Clearly this angle shows that I moved from her being behind me and yet from the side it still happens. The sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products.”
