We get it: Marvel has a lot on their plate. They have to juggle intersecting storylines, countless origins, character additions, themes & moods, and all the big personalities of the actors to go along with everything else. And if they even make one little mistake, the fans aren’t very forgiving. So when a movie like Avengers Endgame comes together so perfectly, they deserve all the credit in the world. Maybe this is nitpicking- but Marvel DOES take a liberty or two with some of the costumes in their cinematic universe. Whether this is to humanize the characters or give them a sense of realism, we aren’t too sure. But sometimes the overall look of a MCU character just doesn’t quite match up with what we’ve seen in the comics.
Sometimes an outfit is so iconic that you really don’t want to modify it at all. And this goes across both the MCU and the DC Universe. We’re talking about characters like Superman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Spiderman. You get the idea. But what about when the comic book version of a character just simply won’t work on screen? Marvel Superheroes in Guardians of the Galaxy are particularly guilty of this, as you’ll soon see. Apparently, the costume design department had a field day with their big screen adaptations…
In this video, we here at TheBinger will show you the actors who just didn’t measure up to their comic book characters look. Whether this is a good or bad thing, we’ll let you decide.
