Who can understand Tinker Bell? On my many viewing visits to the wonderful Neverland, I often wondered why some people could comprehend what the famous fairy spoke to them while others only heard the ringing of bells. Another mystery of the fairies was clear to see and I knew at some point this question had to be understood. Why couldn’t children around the world hear Tinker Bell speak to them like Peter Pan could? Today I’m going to attempt to discover an answer.
I post every Tuesday and Thursday, so check back then for more Disney, Pixar, Harry Potter, Star Wars and movie videos! If you have any questions about the Disney universe that you would want answered in a video, please ask away in the comment section!

In the book, Peter Pan was granted the ability to not only fly but the ability to understand Tinkerbell because he moved a box of piksy dust unprotected. Also In the book, Tinkerbell would also sleep in Peter Pan's hair at night. Their relationship is a lot more than just friends to Tinkerbell.

Why do I imagine that fairies and angels hate each other? (Angels are the size of humans and speak Aramaic.)

Another theory that I read online is that hook is a lost boy that grew up and ran away.
Another is that when lost boys get to old peter kills them.
      Dark right😬

I get what your saying but, tink is Peters fairy. When a fairy is born it is from a child’s first laugh so, Peter was the child that brought tink into existence that is why he can understand her. Also peter didn’t just pop out of nowhere, he did have a family at one point and then ran away. Also another reason some people can understand fairies is because they are sprinkled with pixie dust at some point. Like the lost boys they had to be sprinkled with pixie dust if they wanted to get to Neverland. Thinking happy thoughts is part of flying but dust is what actually gets you off the ground.
Hook did have Serena at one point in his life so she probably sprinkled dust on him at some point. Once your sprinkled with dust you can understand and see fairies. Why do I know this stuff? I was in a show about tinkerbell and her backstory and my cast and I figured out reasons why this could be. Sorry if I sound very know it all but if you really think about it this is also a very logical way to think about it. I’m not saying he’s wrong about some people I’m just saying that I believe there is a better reason to explain peters ability to talk to and understand tinker bell.
      I know I talk a lot.

Not true silvermist (water fairy) can talk to aquatic creatures, irradessa(light fairy) can comunicate with fireflys tinkerbell( tinker fairy) can talk to mice and winter fairies can talk to winter animals, so what if they can only talk to animals of there elerment/talent

Peter Pan can understand tinker bell because in the movie pan he was the prince of fairies and was given the ability to talk to them. Which could explain why he could fly as well

Have my experience with Audible. It has too much restrictions, burns a book on CDs and if a CD was burned wrong, you can't do it again.
Would audible do it like iTunes, so you can do anything and a watermark prevents the file from sharing, it would be better

Peter grew up with Tink in Neverland. It stands to reason he learned the language. In fact, wasn't there an idea floating around that Peter was the first Lost Boy? One that Tink found as a baby?

I think the fairies cannot physically make the same sounds we do, and the same the other way around. This would explain why tinkerbell understands english but she cannot speak it. i feel as though this explains alot

According to certain lore, Peter Pan is actually half-fairy, hence his ability to fly without pixie dust visibly falling off, pointed ears, etc. There may have been a time in the near past when Queen or King fairies where of a significant size resognating with humans. His parents may have been a human and fairy. Just a theory :)

In the Pan movie, Peter is revealed to be half human half fairy, I just assumed that's where his pointy ears and compression of the language came from.

Animal fairies can't talk to humans like they can with animals because humans differ from animals when it comes to fairies. Remember that fairies are born from humans' first laughs and this makes a difference, fairies don't come from animals thus we cannot be treated likewise.

  • Mostly Animated Sketches

I never thought of it as a language, more of a result of fairies being so small that their voices happen to sound like that.
Except for Prilla, apparently? I guess that should've debunked what I thought from the very beginning.

Maybe James hook didn’t learn the fairy language at first, but the pirate fairy was a fairy who could communicate with animals and even humans! Then science she trusted him she taught him the fairy language later! Hmmm🤔

Have you ever done a video on what Peter Pan is? Why can he fly seemingly without Pixie Dust? What's with the ears? Is he just a boy living so long with the fairies so long magic somehow lives in his body manifesting in flight and fairy ears? Or is he something else? Maybe the Spirit of Youth like Wendy's mother said?

Maybe it's just that they are so small that the voices sound high pitched like a bell. Maybe they can be heard only by people with very young ears (that aren't correlated with age at 100%).

Anyone who is willing to listen can speak to and understand other living beings. I can speak to my pets and they talk back ,granted I don't always like what they have to say but they do talk ,so I don't see how it would be much of a stretch for humans to learn the fairy language. Cats for example tend to be very cinical and angsty yet affectionate. While the dogs I have known have been very friendly or very nervous, and birds are such strange chatter boxes and birds are such strange chatter boxes that talk about just about everything that comes to mind like kids with ADHD a sugar fueled rampage of curiosity all while trying to tell you of their imagined adventures . One of my dogs was raised by a cat and she says she is" a puppy kitty "and is your typical two faced southern bell all syrupy sweet to your face and yet savagely gutting you all with a sweet smile on her face.

Peters is half fae, it's implied in the book, and shown in the official movie Pan. His mother is human and had fallen for Peters father. Peter's father was the prince of the fairies. Because of his royal blood, the prince can turn human for one day and one day only, afterwards, he dies.
