Light Box Logo Cut On A Water Jet!

  • Published on Sep 16, 2016
  • I'm visiting the Cut in Half Channel, and he's cutting up a 1/3 hp motor and a mother board for me!
I then decided that the motherboard would look super cool as a LED shop sign! I'll show you all the steps, for this simple and my unusual take on the project. (I think you knew that was coming)

Peter, with a water jet, it is not the water at the incredibly high-pressure that does the actual cutting, it is the garnet or other abrasive in the water stream that does the actual cutting. There is a desktop water jet on Kickstarter that may be of interest to you as this is an awesome machine.

    • Peter Brown
Peter Brown  2 years ago +3

For the record. The motherboard was cut solely with the water. No abrasive.
The motor, of course, needed the garnet.

Hey Peter, I am new to your channel and have been watching your living hinge style videos and wondered if you had ever made a spiral wood basket. You cut a piece of wood in a spiral at a slightly outward angle so that they will go so far and no farther and it turns into a small spiral basket. Grand Illusions, which you have mentioned you watch sometimes, has a video about it.
