The only blockbuster left is in Bend Oregon and yes its still in business.
Very intense animated emotions. It's take a but to get used to but I like it.
Do more of these
Bro ur gatekeeping literally everyone knows what blockbuster is
Haha we have the last blockbuster.
I remember block buster some good times
love the simple cartoon. it makes it more fun to watch. id be here anyway but glad to see this new addition.
The irony is, this current and ongoing balkanization of the streaming services by greedy rights-holders could well lead to the collapse of the streaming industry, as well. And...then...what? I kind of want to jokingly say that physical rental places could return, but let's be honest, that's pretty damn unlikely, but...what?
haa. we had one here in vällingby. a small swedish suburb outside stockholm. they besically were even close to santa( because santa lives here in sweden ^^)
Didn't blockbuster copy redbox at one point
Bruh... the location in the commercial is the one I went to as a young chap
Please don’t ever become an animation youtuber.
as a kid all i ever wanted was to work in a record/cd store or a video rental store lmao nothing will ever compete to the feeling of just browsing through an fye or a blockbuster. i think bull moose is still in business which is cool tho.
John wick is that you?Oh wait 100 people have said this before
Liquid Lijah lol
There is a blockbuster still active in my area, granted they have some huge competition with the Family Video.Which is weird, according to this video there is only 1 in existence, maybe it finally gave up.
There is not one but two family videos in my hometown somehow still in business . Also does anyone remember video update?
Streaming started in 2008. If video streaming had been kickstarted in '99, imagine what sort of shows could have been created or saved, since they wouldn't have to live at the whims of cable companies.*We could have had Pushing Daisies season 3*
Mr block I don’t feel so good
"Bend over again"
my equivalent to blockbuster is video ezy because me and my australian ass is late to everything (aka 2012-2013)
Basically they wanted to keep the tradition of having a physical copy in your hands. This is a good example of "good guys finish last"
Fuck Blockbuster...at first it was return the video by midnight. then they changed it to 6pm....without telling anyone. FUCK THEM
Games I still own from Blockbuster:Tarzan (Ps1)Vanishing Point (Ps1)Crash Bandicoot: Time warped (Ps2)Shadow of the Collosus (Ps2)Come find me, Blockbuster. My late fees must be thru the roof
I miss Blockbuster... everyone make sure to appreciate game stop while it's here. Even if it's not the greatest service, we might just look back and miss the simpler times when it's gone
I had Hollywood Video
Back in 2009 when I was five and my sister was seven we would go to Blockbuster and each pick out a movie to watch over the weekend every week. I was blessed to have blockbuster even if I was so small that I can hardly remember It.
I have an unreturned tape from 98 now what
Netflix didn't get to Australia til 2015 so Blockbuster survived til then. I still regret not filming the last week of my local store. Everything must go type of situation for a family run franchise
And now Family Video has taken over with CBD oils as another way to rope people in.
Because physicaly going to get a movie to watch is, like, dumb lmao who would do that in the current year
I've seen the block buster but now it feels like it's a cryptid
Dude I don’t even live too far from the last blockbuster Finna get my ass over there before it’s too late
and now there's too many streaming services, i look forward to them crash and burning
Too bad for blockbuster that Enron was one of the most corrupt, hollow shell, book cooking, corporations in American history
there are more than one blockbusters still in existence. there are a bunch in Alaska
The Kick me skit made my eyes moist....cuz i know :(
0:53 AWWWWW MAN
I miss Blockbuster :(
11:50 bro you have popye arms 😂
Partnering with enron was doomed from the start. Their executives were telling lies and manipulating their "products" which was really nothing to grab up as much money as possible as quick as possible before people found out. Enron really screwed over not just blockbuster but a lot of the American economy too. They're are documentaries to watch pretty interesting.
In Blockbuster’s defense, running fiber optic cables is expensive when you’re talking about running as many as they would have needed to maintain a useful business presence. Fiber optics cables have to be put underground, especially in urban settings. They would either be in the way, or someone would try to steal them. This would result in Blockbuster either paying or having customers pay for electrical crews to run the cables. In the end, they would have just lost money and died out for quickly. Filling for bankruptcy was their best choice after all. Sad really...
Block buster..... I’d go again if they had one 😰
my boi bookbopster
And now we just search what movie we want on the Internet and find it
What do you mean there are people who think fortnite created a blockbuster myth? I’ve never touched the game so I wouldn’t know.
you lot nowadays have Netflix and chill. back in my day we had blockbuster and cock thruster.
The horror movie section of Blockbuster would creep me out as a kid because 90% of all VHS horror movie covers either have : a monster, a menacing face, blood, knives, sharp teeth or claws, disembodied body parts or skulls; basically most if not all of Children's instinctive fears.oh and that goddamn dancing clown.
We had a Video 2000. The closest Blockbuster was 3 and a half hours away.
Please look up the D.E.N. Pr e RU-clip.... my other mistake ahead of its time. Larry Zeno the Loser Disney mtv off the wall snake bite farks.
I was born in 2005 but I remember using blockbuster to about a year before they collapsed and even after that I had no clue what Netflix was until around 2016. I have a lot of memories of Blockbuster I can even remember the smell. It was a big treat every time we were able to go there.
Blockbuster put soooo many mom and pop video stores out of business when the started getting big.
I actually have a bootleg like blockbuster ripoff in my town and its basically a blockbuster (but with a different name) and it is pretty cool
The one in Alaska here closed about a year ago... rip
Am I high or is he an animatic channel now
I live in bend oregonwe really do have a blockbuster but i dont see that many people there ever
Well go- you gotta keep it alive.
Yeah, no. The video streaming service from Enron was hot garbage. Their ideas might have been fine, but what actually came out was a fat turd. You had to download the whole movie, then you had to go to your computer and watch it. Then you couldn't download another movie until you deleted the other one through their app or whatever. It was essentially a rental service.
You look like Mcree but less Gun and more RU-clip
The dish networkHas the blockbusters website
When Gamestop closes I will feel the same way I felt about Blockbuster.
blockbuster and movie theaters were quite close to eachother, in the atmosphere atleast, which made them a huge hit against other rental stores at the time, i remember the atmosphere in blockbuster smelling like cheap plastic cases and cheap snacks, not quite as much as cheap snacks as the theaters, but i remember childhood being, cheap plastic smell meaning entertainment at my fingertips. and cheap snacks meaning buttery popcorn and satisfaction at the theaters. but in the early-mid 2000s, the internet was still not so eager to instantly deliver you legally aquired content easily, and illegal content was not legally aquireable through streaming services that get knocked for it instead of you like now, which is pretty much the norm now, you can watch pirated movies legally by using a streaming site, since its on their hands. torrenting id be hard pressed to do since well..... it takes time and seeders, and is just a risk im not willing to take unless im trying it infeatureless mode, considering the risk of paying a good 2 days paycheck into some most likely garbage game. but it all goes back, i feel not quite nostaligic thinking about it, but more disturbed how disconnected the internet (as much as im an avid user of it) has made entertainment a more private thing, rather than social. and in general this seems to be the thing, everyone wants their own corner now.... and even i do. which is weird thinking back, but i was also more restricted in my selection. blockbuster drove that i suppose, the feel of it being more like a venue, than a store or rental shop.
umm, what is blockbuster? 0-0
I can still remember renting a VCR in the 90s
