Absolutely working for me i m a muslim i am 39 years old and i m fasting since 30 years for the whole month of ramadan for 30 days.
But this ramadan i start running while i was fasting around 10k then add some exercise then add cycling and i m feeling like 9 years old out of 39 years.
So many times while running i felt it could be end of my heart at the end it never happened.
Thanks to almighty Allah and his messenger Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) who taught us this practice.
If one can put himself into a position where only one heartbeat and one breath is the goal of their life then what you think on that situation that will take you to a point where you feel the power of human brain. May Allah bless all humans that peace of mind and tranquility. (Ameen)

What a great idea. If you don’t eat, you won’t poop. If you don’t poop you don’t use the toilet so much, therefore you use less fresh water. Your water bill will be lower. The thing about C. Elagans, is starving them so much that their reproductive organ shuts down, and I’m sure most humans wouldn’t like that.

But when I break my fast I eat like a horse 😒

  • Amirouche The Lion of Numidia

I am a Muslim living in the Greater Boston Area. I have been fasting for the past three weeks because it is Ramadan. But I have for the past two years fasted each Monday and Thursday because our prophet Muhammed Peace be upon him said it is the way of the prophets before you. All prophets fasted Monday and Thursday including Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and all the other prophets. They fasted the Islamic fast ( remember the world Islam in Arabic means to submit your will to your creator and none have done more so than the prophets). The only prophet who used to fast every other day was prophet Dawud ( AKA King David to the Christians)

As a testament to what this man is saying, I can assure you that he is 100% right. I feel a huge boost of energy every time I fast during Mondays and Thursdays. I feel like I am lighter , quicker, more alert, and very sharp. The days I don't fast however I feel less energy and a bit sluggish, and drowsy because of all the food I have been eating. The way Muslims fast is very different than the way Christians, Jews and others fast. We eat and drink ZERO foods and liquids form sunrise to sunset. I can assure you that FASTING is the way to go if you want to extract toxins, clean your system, become healthier, lighter, smarter, more alert, and get rid of all diseases.

By the way in Haddith ( Prophet Muhammed PBUH Sayings ) and Islamic literature, Muslim scholars have said that all pro peace be upon then had an amazing physic including having 6 packs , and a v shaped body, and lean, and svelte appearance, and that they were all very strong men.

Intermittent fasting is not hard or challenging. Don’t eat a few hours before bed and don’t eat a few hours after you wake up. Even if it’s just 2 hours before bed and 1 hour after you wake up to start. Most will find rather quickly that it’s not as bad as you think and you’ll feel good

kasih sayang prayer should be a private ceremony ..we should be able to pray aloud or in silence...conversations of the heart is fine when ur privacy is not invaded by a nation ..some point laugh and judge u god know when can only grow when we come out from the world .. seek him Greving time is a yr or more.. long suffering is a fruit that people judge and call u crazy ..Jesus said father why have they forsaken me .. forgiveness is for u not the person who hurt u .. but the word says to pray for those .. this thing doesn’t happen overnight.. it is a daily struggle the flesh is weak and getting tried everyday in many way .. we fall down we get up even in the fire their is transforming of the old becoming new .. we should always never cease to keep our temple clean .. slowly but surely set goal to just stop can throw ur system into shock .. u must taper down .. then stop .. not in perfect time but in u and gods time.. he knows and he cares.. where ever u are in ur life is not a mistake.. we learn to come to acceptance... the fact is u never get over losing someone u love ..

My whole life I've had a low appetite, eating 1 or 2 meals aday. Trying to eat healthy foods and make the most of those meals of course, and staying well hydrated. People have always looked at me weird or said I ate like a bird or wondered if I had an eating disorder. I've always been pretty healthy, though I would like to lose a few pounds now it entering my mid thirties… I've always been told you need to eat between 3 to 6 meals per day and never skip breakfast. That to be healthy you had to keep eating every 4hrs, adding logs to the fire and keep that metabolism burning. Now it's a medical breakthrough to do intermittent fasting… you never know what the world is going to discover… guess I'll keep on keeping on. Lol

Thanks Mr. Mattson. Very instructive presentation , but--------------I am surprised you didn't mention FASTING AS A LIFESTYLE. My wife and I retired about 7 years ago, and gone on a lifestyle of eating ONLY TWO MEALS A DAY. I am college educated and She has about a middle school education. we eat dinner at 6:00 P.M. everyday and don't eat anything UNTIL --10:00-- A. M. The next day. We used to snack on some fruit-banana or strawberry, but not regularly. And We keep losing weight until our Doctor told us to not overdo it and say slim by eating healthy snacks and put on some weight. are both very healthy, slim at 84 years for her and 86 for me. AND BELIEVE ME, WE DON'T FEEL HUNGRY AT ALL DURING THOSE HOURS. How can We accomplish this lifestyle? She loves to watch WIFI MUSICAL SHOWS FROM "RU-clip", ( On TV until 2:A.M. with some Spanish novelas in between.) and I watch sports, nature shows, on TV PLUS SPEND THE REST OF THE TIME ON MY COMPUTER---RU-clip, YAHOO NEWS, FACEBOOK, ETC. in my private STUDY ROOM. . By coincidence, this FASTING METHOD IS DONE BY MILLIONS AND CALLED "THE 16-HOUR FASTING DIET". We reduced SUGAR AND WHITE FLOUR FOODS BY 90 %. And try to eat a mixed diet of vegetables , meats, etc. Please believe me --it is strictly a voluntary LIFESTYLE, NO HUNGER PANGS, ETC. IT;S A SNAP- REALLY. ( And we hope to live to a 100 years!---why not?)

"We don't have a profit motive" Neither supposedly did the people who created the food pyramid. What a bunch of socialist nonsense. The government has caused more catastrophes then all the private businesses combined. The food pyramid is just one example. One of the greatest toxic wastes sites was created by the EPA - tires in the ocean. The EPA banned DDT and killed at least 100 million people around the world.

    🌴Quran 2 🤲🌷🍃
O ye who believe! fasting is prescribed (commanded) to you as it was prescribed to those before you that ye may (learn) self-restraint.― (183) (Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the prescribed number (should be made up) from days later. For those who can do it (with hardship) is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent. But he that will give more of his own free-will―it is better for him, and it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew. (184) Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an as a guide to mankind also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So everyone of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spent it in fasting, but if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful. (185) When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them); I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in Me; that they may walk in the right way. (186)

Great video. Thank you sir :). I’ve done the 16/8 fasting and lost 40 pounds in like 4 months, but that didn’t work great for me because I could still not control my hunger, I just couldn’t wait to finish my diet so I can eat bread, cake again. I’m just hungry all the time. A year later I’ve decided to increase my fasting period. For 1.5 months now, I’ve been fasting 36 hours 3 days a week (I don’t eat Monday, Wednesday and Friday). And I feel amazing. My hunger is way way way way down, I can actually manager those urges to eat all the time, I have much more energy, and I feel like my thinking is clear . The hunger still comes in waves, but if I can keep busy for 20-30 min, it just goes away(and is very mild), and I still cook everyday for my husband and son. The only problem now, is that I’m bored, because all that time I used to think about food, now suddenly I have to fill it up with something else... and I lost another 15 pounds... but my greatest achievement of all, is NOT BEING HUNGRY ALL THE TIME

We also have the concept of fasting in Islam, where it is the duty of every Muslim to stop eating, drinking and other desires one month in the year (Ramadan) from sunrise to sunset. In order to feel the poor and the needy

Being subject to seizures, I found fasting/skipping meals not helpful, as well as caffeine, sleep deficit, stress (input overload), were all factors that overloaded the circuits. I can see why shutting the "demons" in a closed, dark closet would be beneficial in unloading the circuits, but that is only short term treatment. Nourishment and rest needed but is also short term.

I enjoyed the presentation, however the hair was distracting. Sir, lose the comb over.
