Riding with a selfie stick!?!? Really? Perhaps time to invest in a drone. 🤡

It was a gopole actually 😉😁 and only for a short piece of footage on a ‘quiet lane’. As it’s about the only time I’ve filmed like that in 200 videos, im not sure it’s worth the spend on a drone?

Its the ventilation (or lack of) that lets this lid down...

    • Views from the Man Cave
Views from the Man Cave  Month ago

Lack of ventilation? There’s quite a bit, the problem (particularly here in the UK) is not being able to close it!

I don’t suppose you could do a review on the ruroc atlas helmet

LOL! "...and that bee better fuck off!" Thats the best! I love it! By the way, what's the jacket you're wearing? Belstaff? Enjoying your vids! Thank you! Cheers!

Any updates on winter UK riding? How has it coped with rain and visor mist?

    • Views from the Man Cave
Views from the Man Cave  3 months ago +1

Yep if you want to wear it all year round in the UK I wouldn’t recommend it. Warm and dry it’s great but outside that others will perform better

    • Daniel Winsall
      Daniel Winsall 3 months ago

@Views from the Man Cave that's what i was thinking! Cold i can cope with, blindness is a no no. Unfortunately i think I'll have to go for a different lid! Thanks 👍🏻

    • Views from the Man Cave
Views from the Man Cave  3 months ago

Daniel Winsall blocking the vents is only going to lead to misting, there is no pinlock or similar option.....

    • Daniel Winsall
      Daniel Winsall 3 months ago

@Views from the Man Cave ive seen someone say they taped up the vents during cold weather but never mentioned visor misting issues

    • Views from the Man Cave
Views from the Man Cave  3 months ago +1

In my opinion it’s too ‘drafty’ for winter riding. There’s no way of shutting off the vents, so for me it’s a summer or fair weather helmet only

  • MrGuano11

Does the overhang at the top of the visor seal off rain?

    • Views from the Man Cave
Views from the Man Cave  9 months ago

Hope so, I’ve not had a chance to ride it in the rain yet. I could pretty much guarantee quite a. Lot would get through the chin vent

Nice vid Tony, probably be worth a punt for summer riding. Look good in Matt black with black chrome visor. Where can you look at one/ buy?

  • Roy Camacho
    Roy Camacho Year ago

Hey Tony, if it's possible for you to borrow it for a day or two, would you consider reviewing the Torc T1 Retro Full Face Helmet??
I've been wanting the Bell Bullit for a while but just never wanted to pay that hefty price tag and this new 2018 helmet is essentially the bell Bullit at HALF the price! Would love to know what you reckon. If it's possible that is. If they can send you one to test ride for 60 miles or so. Please and thank you mate.

    • Roy Camacho
      Roy Camacho Year ago

Yes! That's what I reckon, that it's exactly the same. I'm contemplating buying it. Amazon has it. All helmets I've worn have been Medium, I reckon this shouldn't be any different. And all the vents close where as with the Bell Bullit only the chin bar closes which isn't good for the winter.
But thanks as always for taking the time to reply and for your consideration. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate it.

I have a Bullitt by bell. Like you I find it squeezes my head at the front. Used your trick of squashing foam at front with fingers. The bell helmet is terrible noise wise Defoe ear plugs. How does Bissell compare?

Sadly not, but it is an anti-fog visor. Not had the weather to test it yet though. Deffo a ‘summer’ helmet for here in the UK

Good review. Do you think a sena comm unit will clamp to the shell without any issues? Watch out for those sheep! They are evil, nasty creatures related to the Rabbit of Caerbannog! Look at the bones! Beware! Beware!

    • Sena
      Sena Year ago

Hi Chad, yes the Sena will attach super easy, the liner has a small pocket you could use as well for the speaker. I put one of the foam spacers behind it to push the speakers closer as well to sound better as the helmet is kind of loud. If you use the Sena 10R you the vents are so deep you can put the battery inside the helmet as well. have fun. -Alyssa

Nice review as always mate 👍. If you don't mind me asking, what size lid are you wearing? As someone who wears an XL it's great when you find a crash hat that doesn't make you look like a bobble-head. RSM
