How can I share the same experience at the same time between two oculas go's, I bought two so my wife and I can explore the world sites in sync, but no where can I find how to get both viewing the same thing at the same time so we can explore sites and chat at the same time?

I would be willing to bet the overwhelming majority of Oculus customers are white males so why the forced diversity BS? What a turn off.

*Does anybody know how to put on the lanyard? The hole is too small on the controller. Or did everybody just come to complain that this is not a video about oculus quest? If you’re one of those people… Really?*

Well this is actually disappointing. I genuinely thought these standalone headsets didn't need a phone at any point of the process. They won't be the real deal until they truly are entirely standalone imo. And, also, it's such a shame that modern devices require so much faffing about with setting up accounts and other crap like that just to get going. I'm constantly reminded why I loved the likes of my SNES back in the day, and why the SNES Classic Edition is still some of the most pure and simple fun I've had even in 2018.

Just use someone else's phone to set it up it's not rocket science

+Erik Jorgensen In the case of the Classics I'd rather just have the set games and be done--so long as the choice was of games was genuinely solid.
And I still buy most of my games physical so I actually own something at the end of the day has value, that I can give to my siblings or friends when I'm done, or sell on in the future if I need some cash, or even just pull out again in 20 years time and be able to play. So, for me, I'd actually choose going to the store and pick the game I want than the online option, but I know I'm in the minority with that these days.
Still, I'd take my SNES Classic with its fixed library and no online accounts and crap like that over a SNES Classic with online and all the online accounts and user profiles and patches and other crap that would inevitably come with it in such a case.
What would have been very cool though, imo, would be a SNES Classic with the 20+ pre-installed games, a working cartridge slot, and then the ability to either plug in any original SNES game or to go and buy a modern compilation cart that maybe contains another 20 new games in a set for say $20, and with maybe a collection of such compilation carts to buy.

The SNES did not need an Internet connection or have a web store. Would you rather have to go to a physical store every time you want to get a new app?

I think the approach is clever. They could have made it without the smartphone but imagine people who are using a virtual headset for the first time ever in their life: There you are, clueless how the controller works and you are still forced to type in all kind of mandatory information with some virtual input method you don't understand. It would be a bit too much.
Everyone has a smartphone and know how to use it. And by everyone I mean everyone who is realistically interested in devices like these. It is easier to set it up with a smartphone while recharging the device.
Accounts are there because we demand all kind of services nowadays. We want to talk to our friends, make single click purchases and so on. SNES owners at the time could not even dream such of simplicity.
