In this "How To" video, I go through setting up a new helmet for motovlogging. My other helmet was feeling a bit too heavy as of late, especially on the longer rides, and I was interested in getting a full face helmet instead of a modular.
So I went to a local shop and purchased a Bell Qualifier DLX with MIPS (and transition lens!) They gave me a substantial discount on the helmet, as it's a blem (front chin vent tab missing,) which works out as I'll never ride w/ it open since I want to minimize wind noise on the mic! Worked out.
I mounted a Hero 5 Black to my helmet for motovlogging, but I've included links for the Hero 4 Silver setup I used to use as well (camera / mic adapter / mic.)
The hardest part is running the line for the mic and getting it all nicely tucked into the helmet, but it's much easier with a full face vs modular. Other than that, pretty straight forward stuff.
Hope you all enjoy the video! Please post up any questions you might have in the comments below and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge.
As always, ride safe out there, & stay vigilant!

Paying $430 for a camera and then having to pay $50 extra for a brick of a mic adaptor and then extra mounting gear and spare batteries because of the short battery life is a joke. I just got one of these for Christmas but I'm tempted to send it back because there's just too many issues with it and a hefty price just for stabilisation which crops 4k video anyway so you have to record at 1440p. I've been using a Sony AS200V for years and it does a fine job at half of the price without all the extra adaptors and mounting kit needed. It's literally just velcrod to my helmet with a mic plugged straight in.

Cool video. I have a Silver 4 on my Schuberth. One thing I find helps a ton is to go ahead and link up the camera to the phone so you can see the angles before you snug everything down. I leave the screws just tight enough to hold it and adjust the camera while wearing the helmet to get the best angle, then tighten them up. Thanks for sharing your setup. Pretty cool!
