Chief Executive Carrie Lam criticised independence advocate Andy Chan on Tuesday after his party sent a letter to US President Donald Trump asking Washington to suspend Hong Kong's special trade status.
Lam told reporters that the letter was inappropriate and damaged Hong Kong's interests.
"Of course such action is not appropriate, and just describing it as inappropriate perhaps has not reflected the public outcry and anger," Lam said.

the only public outcry are the Hong Kong traitors working for the corrupt human rights abusing authoritarian coward in beijing.
I have yet to meet a local in Hong Kong who agree's with carrie lam's statement.
Largest emigration figures of Hong Kong locals leaving Hong Kong in the past 12 months , ,,,and they ain't going to China ...how do you explain that carrie lam , have some courage and integrity and stand up for us
The fact mainlanders are breaking other countries laws to illegally enter and stay with no approvals or visa's proves what they really think of the corrupt lying self appointed leader xi jinpig

All those protesting against the corrupt human rights abuser authoritarian in Beijing most definitely have Hong Kong interests at heart,...they are seeing their freedoms and rights being taken away contrary to the promises made by China during the handover

Carrie Lam can't even use the turnstiles at an MTR station, and she has no idea how the overwhelming majority of Hong Kong citizens with young families are extremely unhappy with the betrayal and lies of the Hong Kong government and are looking for options to move out of Hong Kong
Carrie Lam is weak and a puppet of the dogs in Beijing
