There's no 'n' in Roy Scheider's name. You spelled it right, but pronounced it wrong at least 3 times.

Come on people that Cat in the Hat was hilarious. Sorry not sorry Mike was forced to do it, it was an absolute treat. "Im easy like Sunday morning..."

I feel like people dont understand the targetted audience. I feel like it was not so much for kids, but for the adults that grew up reading the book.

Personally, I am just disturbed by how easily the public will turn against a movie start on the basis of even *ONE* bad film! If an actor or actress has done well in a large number of roles in good films, then it's insane to hold the occasional flop against them! WTF?!?

Although, Mike Mike WAS forced INTO Cat In The Cat, it was likely the idea of some studio execs needing the idea of it......just so they can make money.

I'm surprised that there's such hatred for Cat in the Hat, I always thought that people viewed it as just a silly little Mike Myers film from their childhood like I do. Comparing it to the Grinch it definitely is the weaker film, but I'm not sure what about it warrants such a deep hatred for it.

You missed 2016 Ghostbusters! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigorney Weaver and Annie Potts all didn't want to be apart of it, but were legally forced into it. I don't know if Annie didn't want to be apart of it, but I do know that the rest didn't want any part of it. That is why there's going to be a Ghostbusters 3 in the works.

a lot of these films are horrible, but to me the biggest box office flop that comes to mind if gigli with ben affleck and jennifer lopez. it was....so hard to get through. also interesting to learn that emily blunt was almost black widow....not sure it would have been the same had she played the role.

  • HangulMaster

This is why there needs to be an agency clause in either all contracts or added to our US constitution. The legal action these studios throw on to the actors is ridiculous. It’s almost like being held hostage in order to perform. The studio is free to bail on a picture at any time, but the actor is not and that, to me, violates the spirit of being a free human being. Yeah, technically they can still walk away and be forced to pay a hefty legal fine, but with a fine being that gross, it’s practically financially binding someone into servitude. Everyone deserves a clean escape from a contract when they feel it is something they no longer want to be apart of.
