Are there any videos of this gentleman speaking 7 languages? No??! If not, then any claims should come with a dose of scepticism. He provides a useful overview of memorisation techniques that have been around for 50 years.

these TED have such a fake style where it is scripted but the speaker pretends they are speaking spontaneously
the result is like a really fake Disneyfied cheesy American second hand car salesman
they should stop making speakers pretend they are not working from notes and just be themselves
    America is so fake

Educated Dutch-speaking Belgians usually speak 4 to 6 languages with ease (incl. 2 dead ones). If we would need 3 or for 4 more languages to get better jobs, we'd study them without ever mentioning that knowledge. Now, this guy makes a SHOW out of speaking 9 languages. If he'd do the same over here, he'd soon find himself in front of his light and sound people. Moreover, what he says is nothing new nor interesting. I hope he never organizes a European Tour!

I learned German through the Deutsch Intensiv method, and was a student and tutor at the same time. I used to do what he said about having conversations in my head in German, and when I was missing a word, I always had a dictionary in my hand (which I still have, battered and missing the first few pages).

    3. Teknikte yabancı alfabeye hakim olmamız gerektiğini söylüyor değil mi yanlış anlamadım.

  • Светлана Егорова

They key is that you need to damn learn lol. Just learn every day, constantly, don't stop and bam. One day you're able to understand someone's conversation. In my experience all those people who ask HOW you did it , don't even know any other languages but their mother tongue and don't really learn. JUST DO IT, LEARN MFKAS!:3
    I know russian,english ,learning german and Japanese,also some norwegian:3

seek for perfection that makes you dive into a language and feel the beauty of it ,read novels and books, enjoy poems and chants , fully understand how other nations think
most people wanna say how are you in 100 languages but can't explain their feelings and thoughts in any one of them
