Hi, do you find it frizzes up again so easily? I used the dyson today for the first time, looked nice and straight, not GHD smooth straight but good enough for first attempt. Went outside and it just went a frizzy mess :(

    • A Little Bit Lisa
A Little Bit Lisa 3 days ago

My hair tends to puff up if there's any humidity so I do use a sealant after styling to avoid this. I have found that turning the speed down on the Airwrap at the end but keeping the heat up, I go over all of may hair slowly before turning it cool to set it. That works quite well for me x

    • A Little Bit Lisa
A Little Bit Lisa 3 days ago

Any conditioner should do, when doing this I try to use one without silicones so that the rice water can get into my hair as silicones create a barrier around the hair. I do use silicones elsewhere though. Hope that helps.

thanks for the app recommendation! I love cooking but also find I'm sometimes in a rut with the same things. also I enjoy your hauls because even though I shop at WF you buy different things than I do. You are WAY more experimental! Would never have thought to put mustard on rice cakes (I usually put peanut butter on them) and to mix it with a ranch - mind blown! lol. I found the buckwheat porridge through a previous post you made and am addicted to it. I am now tempted to try the chickpea pasta. Do you make 2 separate pots when you have dinner w your fam or?

  • Lydia Regal
    Lydia Regal 10 days ago

May be your hair is like a 2a and 2 b straight wavy curly. I came across people with a mix of straight and wavy hair thats pretty normal. Ivr started cgm 1 month ago. Im taking it easy. Just shampoo conditioner cgm approved and a leaving conditioner. Thats it. I dry it with medium heat as i dont have the patience to wait tht long. I live on a very humid island so frizz is always around but i dont bother too much. I take cgm as a more organic way of treating my hair. Im trying not to get too crazy in applying too many products like protein or other stuff depending on the weather as then i feel i will become slave of my own hair. I still think ur hair pattern is wavy. My hair has been so dry, puffy and thick like hagrid in harrypotter and I realised recently tht it was curly. I really think maybe u can just try to use shampoo and conditioner cgm approved and just a leave in and dry normally with a dryer so that it will take less time. Surely u will still have waves. If u do tht keep let me know xx

  • Lyn R
    Lyn R 12 days ago

I final took the dive and got my Airwrap. So far I have only used it twice as I normally only wash my hair between a week to two weeks. With the Airwrap, it will become weekly. My hair is halfway between waist and tailbone and my hairdresser considers it thick. I get it cut once a year, usually taking of about six inches off. My hair grows quite fast. I have only used the straight smooth brush and barrel brush for my bangs or fringe. Absolutely love the results as it completely takes care of my extreme frizz. As the frizz is so bad, I never wear it down, always in a bun. So now, I am prob going to be able to curl it again. Something I haven't done for sometime. I would be completely happy if I only ever use it for straightening. I have bad shoulder joint pain and because I don't need to raise my arms, I have no pain or fatigue. This makes this an awesome product and believe me, I have almost every decent hair tool on the market. All in an attempt to eliminate my frizz. The only disappointment is that it isn't dual powered for international travel. At the price, it should be. The Dyson Hairdryer isn't dual powered either. A huge mistake by Dyson, considering it is a very expensive appliance in my country, at $799.

    • A Little Bit Lisa
A Little Bit Lisa 3 days ago

Yes why isn't it dual powered? I'm going to Ireland this summer and I won't bring it so will have to find something else (I have actually found a travel tool that I will be making a video about soon). The straightening brushes are my favourite!

    • A Little Bit Lisa
A Little Bit Lisa 3 days ago

I still love it. It is not a straightener though, as in it leaves the hair with volume and it's not as flat as when I use flat irons. I don't think it's worth the price but I have no regrets buying it!

I loved this so much on you! I was watching a woman use her Dyson with the same 1 direction cone to do both directions of curls, she flipped the device upside down. It was amazing and fast. There is definitely a learning curve to using this device for curls. Since you have such curly hair underneath I was surprised you used the Dyson on your curly areas. I loved how it wasn't frizzy even on day three, you looked stunning for your night out. I love your curls and seeing the body in your hair, it looks so healthy and dimensional! Lovely.

no I'm very upset at the way she's handling this, it's very submissive, it's not good at all, i think she should stand up for herself more, it is not normal for youtube to make her feel like she cannot live a mothers live while being a creator, it's not right, and she definitely not take it laying down, its actually an outrage. and she should band together with other RU-cliprs and follow a common strategy of striping youtube of its power by relocating their content

Utter madness. One of the primary reasons I enjoy your channel is the nice vision of the whole family doing things and participating. I don't mean to sound like your solo stuff isn't interesting but it's not what got me interested in the first place. RU-clip have seriously miscalculated this one! A lot of content generators will quit and a lot of viewers are going to be turning off but I don't think they care.

    • A Little Bit Lisa
A Little Bit Lisa Month ago

I don't disagree, I was very sad taking down some of our lovely travel videos which are just pure family travel. Maybe RU-clip will clarify the situation as time goes on but their advice was that if your content could be attractive to children (including having children in your videos) then you could be fined. As time goes on it seems that their needs to be an intent by the creator to attract children to their video but it's all rather vague. 🤷

I have always had course/dry hair with lots of body. As I got older it has gotten more curly and more frizzy. I do not follow CGM religiously, but have used some of the tips. I have also stopped colouring it 6 months ago. Now that I have stopped the fight against the curls and no more harsh chemicals my hair looks healthier with more natural curl patterns. At almost 56 yrs old, I am wanting simplicity, not a militant routine that takes hours. Retirement has me busier now than when I was working. A good cut and style are go a long way in keeping you look current. I think your hair looks great either way, you just need to do what works for you.

I was just downloading old vids and this one went back up as a new video for some reason 🙈 Yes these are definitely foods that we do miss. Mark dreams of black pudding 😅 I found a local shop that has purple snacks and we have a supply of Barry's tea in the cupboard ☘️

I enjoyed your video, well explained and demonstrated. Thank you. Do you throw that rice after you use the rice water? Or do you use it to make more rice water?

It sounds incredibly loud. The result is very chic!

I am just now seeing this, and I just want to give you a hug! I have followed you from your very first CG video. I didn't give up on my curly hair, but I did give up on CGM. I still use *some* of the principles, but I don't adhere strictly to them. I don't straighten my hair, but if I want to use heat to dry it, I do! If I find a product that has silicones, I still use it! It has helped that my hair ended up being much curlier than I originally thought, and I think being happy with your own hair is far more important than having "healthy" hair.

Same here, a frizzy head of hair. It does have a wave if I use the right products. It’s loooong, and in better shape on curly girl.

Nice names! The sea maiden one is pretty, also your own children’s names. In my American family, there’s a Makayla, a Dbln (no vowel), and other such. We chose a Finnish name that’s not common for our daughter, even in Finland. It means lily.

Elvis is the reason I am a Lisa Marie and my sister is Olivia because of Olivia Newton John. Aoife was on the list for both of us (maiden name is O'Driscoll but my husband is not Irish) but my mother was young having us (18 & 20) so the celebs names won in the end.
