You can also use 12% bleach and it will do the trick, have a huge outdoor fountain and I put 4 liters of 12% bleach, keeps the water clear and the fountain from building algae.

What is the deal with these simpletons in the comments. Just because it's dangerous when you ingest in copious amounts doesn't mean you can't have it as a garden plant. Do people in your household eat plants in your lawn?

No mention of any scribe tool, angle finder or speed square. Pliers, flat bar, nail pullers or cats claw? Carpenters don't need mud knives, specially not to "get started". This is more like an instructional video for the tools someone's wife should keep on hand since her husband doesn't have any. I could go on and on about the things you should have but not listed. Chalk line, plumb bob, center punch or nail set. Not sure what level of construction consultation you do, but I don't see someone that sounds like they have been around the construction site too much. And I own some mud knives, and know how to use them. The person who did the schotty mud work behind you does not.

I had two gardenias, now only one. One was in a planter and yellowing constantly but I watched this video so I wasn't concerned. It died. My second gardenia is in the ground, never yellows because I pay attention to it the second it starts looking stressed. After removing the dead gardenia from it's pot I discovered a bunch of fly larvae. Gross, but now I won't make that mistake again. I spray with neem oil and treat with a permethrin based product from time to time. The plants in that pot are doing much better now.

  • Gabrielle Delarose
    Gabrielle Delarose 9 days ago

No. Just no to all of this. Don't do this. Please. It's not good for the environment, or wildlife, it doesn't work, and it's hella hard for the next person to come along and undo the mess. Roundup is now know to be associated with increased risk of cancers, it's highly toxic to the environment, and weeds are now becoming immune to it. Landscape fabric is not particularly effective against weeds, and MUST be replaced regularly, countering any benefits of reducing workload by placing it in the first place. Finally, any large area that seems like a good place to put landscape rocks is better served by concreting the entire area. It's a better solution against weeds, is longer lasting, and creates a more useful outdoor area.

Pretty useless video if you've ever grown ANYTHING!!! Get seeds or plant, put in soil, Water. There, that's all the info this video provides. I just saved you a few minutes.. :) Why doesn't she mention what kind of fertilizers to use and when, amount of direct or indirect sun, amount of watering, Every day, every other day, etc and does this change when the flowers 1st show or fruit start to get bigger and close to picking. All of these are more informational then Plant, water pick fruit.. Of course I'm assuming that if you're seeing this, you already have a garden and know the basics.
