I have had the copper IUD for about a year now and I love it! I’m lucky cuz this is the first form of birth control I ever had besides using condoms together so I never had to switch. I lucked out that the IUD has worked so well for me and I love that there are no hormones, I get regular periods, no babies for 10 years, and once it’s in you don’t really have to do anything. 10/10 recommend it takes like 3 months to get used to but just stick with it it’s really worth it in the end.

Just had mine done, didn’t hurt at all but when iud was inserted i started to feel crampy. I just made sure to take big breathes throughout . Afterwards i felt lightheaded but that was my fault for not eating beforehand!! I also took 600mg before the procedure and 200mg after.

Princessfoxy 50 my sister felt no pain because they placed it right after she gave birth to her 3rd son. I would recommend you have it placed while you are on your period and take four ibuprofen one hour before procedure.

Tried it twice. First time I removed it after 12 days. The insertion was okay, I had worse pains, it was more like a metal punch and very uncomfortable. But I felt fine afterwards it was quick. But when I went home and an hour later I had extreme pains for hours on th floor. Nausea, stabbing stomach/back pains, feeling sick....i ibuprofen didn’t work. So for the 12 days I bled like crazy heavy, through my pants sometimes...lucky I was home before it got worse because I didn’t know it leaked on ten sides of my pads. Didn’t even wanna have sex. So I had it removed and felt instantly better !!!!! So I tried it Again some months later after pull out method didn’t work and end up pregnant but had a early miscarriage. This is my 2nd week- and I’m not feeling any pain. I went and did the procedure for copper iud again. I took I uproin 800 30 min before..I was scared because I expected tons of pain...but went home and didnt feel any pain. This past week I have been spotting EVERYHDAY and it’s so annoying cuz I feel dirty because I’m always bleeding. Anyway, I’m on my actual period, and it’s heavy but not leaking so I’m surprised and I don’t have any pain. When I do it’s intermittent and far apart but it doesn’t last even a second. And I’ve been not taking the Ibuprofin and feel okay....but rn I’m just worried when will my period end. Usually it’s 5 days but with the copper iud I’m having my first period on it and just hope it stops bevsue I want to have SEX and I can’t and it’s making me pissed a bit. I’m gonna try it for 6 months to a year-if it’s working like it is right now and everything is okay. If those pains come back like the first time I tried I’m taking it out. I will not take it anymore. Try zinc, Vegetables and exercise. I do that now do maybe that is what helps. And LOTS of water. Also if you’re allergic to copper don’t do the copper iud. And if you try take down notes of your feelings, body, fluids everyday. Some women get copper toxicity...which can cause a whole lot of problems but that usually happens after a coupe years but still. As soon as I see a hint of anything (God forbid), I’m taking it out immediately. If it messes with your mind, and mood take it out.

Certified Weenie I got my IUD earlier this week, 5 days ago. For me, it felt just like period cramps, like 6/10 for pain. I prepared by taking 600-800mg of ibuprofen before and having my bf drive me. I would recommend taking the rest of the day off after your appointment just to relax. It hurts, BUT the pain is just like period cramps which is a familiar pain. So its not too bad.

    • Adriana Socorregut
      Adriana Socorregut Day ago

After taking birth control pills for a year, yes I had all these symptoms. Go to a doctor and get your hormones checked, I found out that I developed PCOS at 18 yrs old as a side effect of birth control pills, something my OBGYN never told me. My symptoms sucked absolute ass, I gained soooooo much weight despite me having a healthy lifestyle, I had no sex drive, and if i did have sex it was extremely painful, I was the most depressed I had been in a long time, wouldn’t get my period for months, no energy, etc. After 6 months of that I was diagnosed with PCOS and now I warn anyone I can about the little known long term side effects of hormonal birth control. That shit messes up your hormones like crazy, it’s not good for the human body. I would recommend to get your checkups and see what a doctor tells you. (I’m on medication now btw)

So I’m taking time out of my construction project to learn more about copper IUDs so I can tell her what I’ve learned. I’m a very responsible man who’s armed with condoms and spermicide when I’m with her. She’s very responsible herself. Rn She’s trusting me to learn what I can about this IUD so she can have the most info when I give her my briefing. That’s why I’m searching RU-clip. 😎 I’m not even afraid of blood at all so This is kinda fun and educational for me.

Reported it to paragaurd today for data collection and in the middle of legal work with paraguard. Ive been on nexplanon and the pill. I had nexplanon put in after having my daughter 2 years ago. Nexplanon made me spot everyday. Quite a bit sometimes, for the whole year I had it in. I had it removed and went back to the pill. I've been having headaches and I've been having anxiety about the hormones. I personally just want to switch to hormone free. I have an appointment in two weeks to have paragard placed. I'm still nervous about the placement and I've had a child. I’m a man wanting to learn more about this because birth control is an important issue and condoms are small on me and they rip easily from my size and force so my Wife wants to find a safer method of containing me yet still being able to enjoy me. We’ve tried spermicide. Works great every time. Never gotten pregnant. but she wants more defenses. So we looked into the pill. She wants something else that isn’t hormonal based and asked me if something else existed. I told her I’d report back. That’s when I discovered the copper IUD. She loves the idea of it and is busy rn. Told her I’d take time to learn about it, hence why I’m here. Kinda weird that, as a man, I’m being told to click out. I care about my tiny wife. She’s depending on me .... and I don’t take that lightly. (As a secondary note, I’m also curious as to if I’ll get stabbed by it if I go all the way in like I usually do but I don’t think the medical device protrudes that far down the uterus. I’m going to look at diagrams after this to get a better understanding of the dilemma.)

Demetria Thomas hey just as a warning, I was on that medication for five years and had a stroke at the age of 22 with it. I had no medical history, followed a plant based vegan diet, and no clotting disorders. I lost half my vision from it and wish desperately that I could go back and stop taking it. It’s a rare complication but the risk is significantly higher in oral contraceptives with combination therapies such as Yasmin. Just food for thought because you never know if it’ll Happen to you

Bring a couple of those dry seasoning packets to flavor the plain rice and beans. Instant rice will do ya right, and instant potatoes will make a sauce into a gravy. Buy a P-38, online, or at the nearest Army/Navy Surplus store. It’s a mini can opener you can hang on your keychain, and always have with you. I wrap a piece of tape around it to keep it from cutting me. You can pre cook a lot of meals at home, then freeze them. I will precook a meal, and then put it in a ziplock baggie. Then put that baggie of food into the pan it’ll be cooked in, and put the whole thing in the freezer. When you pull the meal out to heat it, it’s already the shape of the pan, and all you have to do is heat and eat! You can also freeze ice cube trays full of tea, coffee, or vegetable broth. Then put the cubes into labeled ziplock bags. Pull out and use what you need.

This makes me feel WAY better about going back two days ago to eating some non-vegan foods. I felt great at first, then terrible because of the ethical side of everything. But, I have been losing weight without trying, and I’ve gotten really sick of vegan foods. The foods I like that are vegan take a long time to make, and it’s frustrated me more to the point of just giving in to animal products again. I work around food, so the last thing I want to do when I come home is make sure I’m focusing on my food being perfectly vegan. I loved being vegan, and I want to possibly go full force again but I felt I was going back into my eating disorder because of how much effort it can require if you can’t afford the quick options like ready-meals. Anyway… this really helped, I don’t really feel so shitty about letting go of veganism

Brah. Ya just cavin in to social environmental pressures. Had your bf been vegan this wouldn’t be a challenge. Also, wanting to eat other people’s left overs is vegan ? Cmon... you better than that man. Veganism ain’t no bus ride brah. It’s a lifestyle and if others can’t respect it how much do ya really value yourself. Wish ya all the best on your journey. Namastay Vegan 🙏🏽🌱

Havent made a video after a year and decided to make one that is detrimental to our planet and the animals. U honestly were never vegan! This is the very definition of a fake vegan. Ur so selfish! Only making this video for views.

I can't stand the vegan community. I'm embarrassed to ever tell anyone i'm vegan. I'm sorry you have to explain over the internet why you eat what you eat and then cop shit for it. It's your life, do whatever makes you happy 😊

I totally understand the travel thing and the stress around food. When I’ve been on vacation whilst being vegan I’ve definitely eaten some dairy, just because I’m not, in a foreign language, going to ask if there’s dairy in everything. If it looks near enough vegan I’ll order it. I ordered falafel in Greece, it came with tzatziki I didn’t know. I ate it cos why waste food? I’d say for now try to rebalance your relationship with food so you don’t slip back into that eating disorder mindset. Eating disorders are tricky little bastards, I know from personal experience This is the only one of these videos that didn’t piss me off. I hope once you’re feeling better about food you start to ease the animal products out again and maybe just be a bit more chill about it. Don’t restrict your future vegan diet 😉 I’m routing for ya.

this sums it up more than any other video like this that I've seen. It comes down to the stress of going out and you really do make it as simple as it is and needs to be. I still agree that eating as close to plant based as possible is the best for the animals and planet but we are human and nothing is black and white and all we can do is our best and that includes what is best for ourselves. thank you for sharing and making me feel less alone.

I don’t think that this was your intention, but I’ll just share a little bit of my story and how this video has impacted me. I’ve been vegetarian (not vegan, but ya know) for over two years and it had become a little disordered and distorted. I ate meat for the first time in two years yesterday. I don’t plan to eat it again, just because now I’m sure I’m not really interested, but there’s no fear surrounding it anymore.

I hate u and u were never vegan jk lol I don't care...do what makes you happy. Don't let them get to you. My friend was vegan over 20 years way more than some of these 2-5 years vegan and they believe their morally superior than him.

congratulations - you are now officially free. Veganism is about the health and welfare of animals and that's why a Vegan diet is so difficult to follow long term because it is a man made concept and undertaken at the detriment of human health.

It's not a detriment to human health. Scientific consensus says that vegan diets are healthy for all life stages.

I understand why you chose to be vegan. You are a good person for looking around you and wanting the best. Having said that, I'm very happy that you were able to come to this understanding. It would be a shame to see what you would look like in 5 years if you didn't quit considering how beautiful you are Good luck
