I'm planning to buy this monitor and this will be an upgrade for me from 1080p so can you clear a few of my doubts? Q1) Can I use this monitor with a GTX 1050ti. I know sounds dumb but I don't primarily plan to use it for gaming. It's mainly for graphic designing and some video editing. So since Photoshop and Premiere mainly rely on CPU and not GPU, will I face any problems running it on my GTX 1050ti? Q2) I don't plan to game a lot but I may use it sometimes for gaming. So I was wondering if I can set the resolution of games to 1080p and fullscreen because my gpu can handle 1080p. Can you try this setting on a few games on your monitor and let me know if the games look normal or is there some kind of blur due to downscaling or 1080p on 32 inch screen...if there's any issue do let me know if it looks decent or just unplayable. That would be it. I would really really appreciate it if you could answer my questions. Thank you :)

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 5 hours ago

A1) 1050ti will be fine! A2) I don't have the monitor anymore, but did try this. Monitors never look as good when not at their native resolution. But with fast moving graphics and depending on how close you are to the screen - you might find it ok. It will be playable - whether you'll be happy with it is not possible to say - it's too subjective. But it's certainly better than dropping frames!

I USE A VIVITAR CAMERA LIGHT ATTACHED TO A BAR WITH THE OTHER END HOLDING MY VIVITAR 756 HD ON THE OTHER END. The bar gets a bit loose at times but the camera light is very bright & I can now do night videos where I could not before. Batteries for the light are rechargeable as is the camera itself. Its not a Go Pro but it had to do when my Ipad was broken & I needed to do videos for my RU-clip channel.

Awesome listen test the bookshelf speaker do sound more complete in top middle and bottom than the lamp, but I do think the lamp has the more benefits of a stronger middle range and a slightly punchier bass that will pay out in a setup with sonos beam being more voice clear and action handling ,I need some lights behind my sofa so I think i'm going for the lamps thanks for this video

  • Terry Loewenberg

Excellent review/tutorial. For what it covers, no other RU-clip video is better. You are spot on about the manual, comprehensive but the poor English makes it difficult to follow at times, plus as you pointed out, there is valuable information that needs to be included. Like all RAVPower units, it would greatly benefit from clear step by step directions for each function since the device is NOT intuitive. Thanks!!

Anyone know how to solve the problem of the watch not downloading vodafone uk esim profile properly? First time I tried it appeared to be missing some settings and wouldnt connect so I deleted the profile and tried again. Now It appears to download but then throws a `network not available try downloading later` error. Tried everything I can think of and it just wont work. I have an active onenumber plan and full network coverage so am a bit stumped why it wont work. Vodafones awful crashy app is no help and neither is customer services. I have 2 questions: In the waterproof test, you didn't show if it floats or not. It's important because I don't want the speaker to sink in deep water and get lost. Second question, if paired with another T2, will there be a binaural listening experience, a clear distribution of right and left channel? Or will both speakers merely play the same sound?

    • Thomas Jr. C.
Thomas Jr. C. 10 hours ago

Listened to various binaural, 3D, and 8D sound effects, music, and songs on RU-clip. Very realistic, great audio from Tronsmart T2 Plus. Small but great audio, and cheapest among the other brands liked Anker and Tribit, but already with Bluetooth 5, USB-C, IPX 7 waterproof, 24 hours usage (at 50% volume, but actual usage may be slightly lower, according to some reviews) at just a 3-hour charge time. What more can I ask? 👍

long time trekz titanium user. got the aeropex 2 weeks ago. love the fit on the head. the audio is lower then the titanium. the equalization for ear plugs are a down grade. titanium gets clear and loud. the Aeropex keeps to much base and the sound gets muffled with ear pluggs, it could be improved in house in 2 second. the head phones got a clear delay in games and apps so i cant recommend it for use with gaming i would use them for gaming on the phone if the delay got fixed. it cost 3 times as much as the titanium. music loses a bit of base in the aeropex vs titanium i general use. but the audio is good. they need to fix the audio delay in games and apps and the poor eq for ear plugs and the headset would be sort of worth the price. but i do love the fit. a 9 hour work day and i get home forgotten i got them on. not sure eny other headphone can sit on your head with no problem for such a long time like aeropex. the battery time for me is about 18 hours.

Thank you Nj scothern! Not via the earbuds themselves. But you could use Google Assistant - hold either button for a second and say "Turn it up". Or just use the volume controls on your phone.

thanks for the good review. I just want to know with this one and maybe in general: when using an app on the phone to track running or hiking or whatever, can you use the phones GPS and only the heart rate from your wearable?

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 6 days ago

Thank you Dominik Gruenthaler! You could have continuous heart rate tracking on the watch. But you can't broadcast your heart rate from the watch to the the app on your phone so it's included in the activity file if that's what you mean ...

@The Technology Man thanks for the info, shame though because I really liked the lamp speaker combo, I still might go for it.... We'll see

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 5 days ago

@Graeme McKenzie The new Sonos Move has Bluetooth - but that's their first speaker to incorporate it (and Sonos have been around for years!). They always wanted to maintain the highest audio quality which they felt required WiFi (Bluetooth always compresses) - but in reality most people sometimes just want an easy way of connecting directly to the speaker - even if they're not on Apple! I use an app which plays RU-clip through the Sonos speaker called SonosTube - so for RU-clip you could try that?

    • Graeme McKenzie
      Graeme McKenzie 5 days ago

@The Technology Man what a poor decision not to incorporate Bluetooth

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 6 days ago

No - you can't output audio direct from a Kindle Fire. It does support AirPlay with an Apple device which would allow this. There's no Bluetooth.

@The Technology Man cheers but what about for watching TV, I use the fire as a small kitchen TV, could the lamp speaker but used in conjunction to get better quality sound?

Thank you so much for this. Been reading the paper like reviews on their website and it's only speaks good. Quiet misleading. But your review of showing the display clarity n how the screen looks after the screen guard stuck made the choice easier. Guess I'll save some money and not buy paperlike.

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 6 days ago

Thanks Santosh Rane! The PaperLike 2 does have better clarity. I've just installed a cheap Tech Armour screen protector on the children's iPad and that makes another cheap alternative to PaperLike - I still prefer PaperLike 2 but it's over 5 times the price!

    • The Technology Man

These are very different speakers - the Force has a far bigger sound with way more bass. And still has pretty good clarity in the mids. The Soundcore would only really be the "best" if you want a very small speaker with excellent battery life - or it was a lot cheaper.

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 7 days ago

The ones I've tested are pretty similiar around that price. Bass will depend a lot on their fit in your ears. The Tronsmart are my preferred choice at the moment - more on features, fit - they stay put for running (better than most of tried - even more expensive ones).

Great video, but can you answer this for me. I know the 8 is supposed to be a bit slimmer, so it won't fit into any of the 'cages' that are necessary for mounting the 5. But...how much does it really not fit? Is it just a little loose in one dimension or is it just absolutely not going to work in any way shape or form? I just think it might be convenient if you could slip the 8 into a particular mounted setup you have for the 5 utilizing the 5's cage (since things might be attached to it).

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 7 days ago

Thanks Joseph Hill! It's bigger - it's not even close to fitting in even the Hero 5 Frame I'm afraid.

Hi. Could I buy 2 of these and pair them with my Sonos amp and sub to create a 2.1 system? I keep hearing they can only be set up as rear home cinema speakers but I'd want them mounted to the wall each side of the TV. Thanks!

    • The Technology Man
The Technology Man 7 days ago

Off the top of my head not sure that's possible but give Sonos a ring - they are usually very helpful - the Bookshelf are no different to the Play:1s / One etc so whatever works for them will work the same. Personally I'd get a Beam and use the two Bookshelf speakers as rears for a full 5.1 together with the Sub. And keep your Amp for another room for some nice passive speakers 😊.
