How about pre-work out drinks will they break the fasting??? And if they do what can else can I dring as a pre-work out ???

Hi Antonio, this all depends on the ingredients. Watch for sweeteners and amino acids that can break your fast. A good indicator of whether or not a pre-workout will break your fast is the calories it contains. Drinking black coffee 20-30 minutes before training is a fail-proof way to boost energy levels without breaking your fast. Check out the complete benefits here:

I’ve never tried either sandwich. I grew up in Clarksdale Ms. home of the delta blues. Chicken sandwiches and every other kind of chicken was always on the menu. It's true that food is king in the south. I’m just glad my relationship with food is finally changing for the better. This is an incredible story. It really is kinda like the unsuspecting underdog winning the race. I love it when people beat the system and just go for it. People may doubt that I will ever reach my health goals because of past failures but I just say watch me. I will be looking out for this gentleman's book. As always, thanks for the awesome inspiration and information. Love the rapid fire round!

How do i know how many calories i should be consuming per day to get gains?

First, you want to calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) to see where your maintenance calories are. This calculation would be based on your gender, age, height, weight, and activity level. Typically, you want to start small with a calorie surplus (150-350 above maintenance is an excellent window to start at) and build from there, based on your progress. To calculate your macros, follow our guidance in these videos. We will continue to be posting more information on how to calculate and tweak your own calories and macros!

How does one know how many calories to intake every day? For example, I'm 5'10", 44 years old, male, 230 lbs and carry a lot of muscle. I throw weights around the gym 4 days a week for an hour each, and cardio twice a week for an hour each. ROUGHLY how many calories should I be consuming to lose weight and/or maintain weight? I know you mentioned the macro ratios are coming in a later video, so I'll wait for that :-)

    • Mom Bods
Mom Bods 2 days ago Gives me a good starting point... I like how they show maintenance, cutting, and bulking calories and macros. Thanks 6PA!

You want to calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) to find your maintenance calories. TDEE calculators can be found on the web. They use your gender, age, height, weight, and activity level as factors (what you've provided in your question). From there, you can adjust your macronutrients depending on your goal (more to come on that!)

    • Adrian1018
      Adrian1018 2 days ago

Mom Bods have to figure out your TDEE. Look it up. Takes a bit of time to attain, but that's the proper route to pursue if you want to truly answer your question

Hi Mike, So you would do the 5 sets of incline curls (10-12 reps), very controlled and full range of motion. Then you will go into 8 sets of either standing curls, or heavier incline curls, for 6-8 reps. Use weight that challenges you, but that you can complete the reps with.

Great question. Think of it this way... if you were doing lower-body, you probably wouldn't focus on quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves in one day. Not if you're looking to achieve maximum growth anyways. You would want to split your focus areas into multiple days. Chest is an area that most people aim for maximum growth and would prefer to split into a separate day.

This is a good POV and valid point, Brando. Keep in mind that we had around a 5-month break where we didn't upload videos. Since then, we have restructured and created some great content to start posting on a regular basis, but that break does have a negative effect on metrics and subscriber engagement. We're growing better than ever right now and will continue to work hard to engage our subscribers again.

There is a point where you keep adding more weights but it feels like it is not tearing the muscle, I don't feel sore after the workout, then I switch to low weight and high reps, gets really sore the next day.

Keep in mind that DOMS is not a good indicator of muscle building or a good workout. While it IS a good idea to switch things up often, don't use soreness as an indicator of muscle growth. If your nutrition is on point, your recovery is going to be quick and you may not experience DOMS at all. If you ever need help or have questions, feel free to reach out for a complimentary consultation.
