Thanks so much Freddy for all these memories you are showing were I grew up as a teenager. Went to psq5,10,11,#4, &ps#2 then on to JFK completed my sophomore year there and move back to North Carolina. I get homesick sometimes for Paterson, because I was raised there and still think of all my friends at JFK, walked a girlfriend from JFK across that walk across bridge in West Side Park. Veronica was her name ,sweet Italian girl. Hope you keep them coming, I really would like to see some more of school #2 down on Market Street, well passive St. the playground is on Market. I lived right across the street on 46 Market St. Lived up on the 3rd floor above the Billiards & the A&P store, it's gone now. Take care &God Bless you Mr. Cordoba Ray T. from the mid 60's

Good job on the video! 👍 I was just there August 10th to the 24th. I stay around 17th and the boardwalk. It's good that I live in South Philly and not really that far away. Some people that stayed the same place I did had like a 4 hour drive to do. It also would be interesting to find out the answer to the question of if them places are rented out to people and by who on the boardwalk.

This is an excellent Wildwood video! You captured the entire essence of the trip, from the car ride down, to the the hotels/restaurants, to the boards, to even the storms (Wildwood storms are fun!) . Back in the day, we'd go to the Strand theater on the boardwalk when it would rain, but sadly there's no more movie theaters on the boardwalk :( I went every year from 93-03, then started going again every year from 2013. I'm going next week. I have a few Wildwood videos on my channel, and will be recording my trip next week as well.

I went here not too long ago. It was part of a tour group. I knew a lot happened during the time but it was bonechilling and outright disturbing seeing the shoes, children, photo wall and even the short films. What got me the most was the cart that so many people stepped foot into thinking it led to freedom. But it was all a sad lie and ended in their horrible suffering and stories. This was the saddest place I have ever experienced, and I can only imagine what it would be like to see Auschwitz, where all these terrible events took place.

My family has a ~100-year history of living in the area of the farmers markets on Knickerbocker Ave. I remember when the farmers used to sell off of the back of their trucks behind Spinella's. I also remember the original Corrado's market there, Fava's, and Ed Whites meat market where Brothers Produce is today. As a kid, I used to buy individual pickles at Pickle King.

Another winner to stir the memory. What was the one leading down from (I believe) N 4th st? It started at a small fire station, and it was so steep that there were stairs for people to go up and down. There used to be a big cabinet manufacturing company on the next street down (N. 3rd)? Anyway, as kids, we'd get the formica scraps from the factory and use them like a sleigh going down the hill. Had to have a spotter at the bottom cause there was traffic sometime. But talk about "speed"... and lack of control going down. It was fantastic! Ruined a lot of sneakers trying to stay in (a little) control and not get killed. LOL
