    I'm confused! The recipe says 8 tablespoons of butter but you only put in 4 in the video. What will happen if I follow the recipe printout? This sounds delicious and i'm in the process of making it right now! Looking forward to more instant pot recipes! I LOVE my instant pot!!!!

    Nice sis but here's my perfect Hot Skillet country bread. Pretty Tony's perfect Skillet Corn bread. #1. Mix dry corn bread mix or (corn meal & flour.salt & sugar to taste) #2 mix with wet ingredients (your choice 1/4 oil + 1/8 cup butter+1/4 cup milk+ can of cream style corn. #3 preheat cast iron skillet w 1/4 cup oil 400° oven. #4 Pour in hot skillet & cook till brown on edges then relocate to broiler to brown on top. #5 Let cool,take a bite & wipe the shedded tear from right eye.

    We used to debate in middle school (Junior high) in a small country town in Mississippi as to whether greens were finger food or should be eaten with a fork. I personally used a fork because I didn't want the cornbread I mixed in under my fingernails but many of my classmates ate them with their fingers. Either way, they were 🔥!!!!

    That roux didn't even come to a shine. Peanut butter color is about half way there. Needs to be darker brown but not burned. You don't do away with the brown stuff in the pan. That's called fond. It is packed with flavor. I highly recommend cleaning the gristle off the chicken meat before you chop it up. Nothing like the taste of knuckles in your soup. Now for the up side. That dried shrimp and crab meat is only a dream around my home. Family will not eat shell fish. Don't get me wrong. If I was to be fed a plate if this I'd shut the hell up and eat it and enjoy it. Just an attempt at some constructive criticisms that I know would make that dish much better.

    Please understand that I am not a plastic Nazi but they are have been studies showing that these Crock-Pot liners when heated are not safe and may soon be pulled off the market. Much better just to use Pam or some other non-stick propellant spray.
