*ANOTHER* side of one of the *true* all-time greats! ......This was Fucking GLORIOUS to see and listen to!! People like Iggy Pop / Mark E Smith / Jello Biafra / Frank Zappa / Captain Beefheart and a handful of others I genuinely think will be still listened to 200+ years from now As genuine doyens of this *our* era in History! - Their Music (of course; goes without saying) but also their ideas about music and music culture! Long may it last! Bravo! \o/

Good and bad. He is articulate and has important ideas for young people. he questions motives like saying these dumb things of people being denied blues or folk. these musics were worthless. he rightly points out the immorality of the old/new record industry. Yet doesn't say how the jews interfered in it and ruined music. in fact only british invasion made it better. until that was over.

Actually the first time Peel played The Fall was their first session, broadcast on 15th June 1978. At that time, the group were not signed to a record company. They didn't even released a record, when their first session was broadcast. I think the 11th July 1978 show was when Peel first played a Fall record. John Walters (Peel's producer) was the guy who discovered The Fall, when they were a support band to Siouxsie & The Banshees.

He understands stultification , control, the creative process how it was then, how it is now. The importance of freedom to an artist in stimulating artistic process. He loves what he does, its apart of him the money, well thats just geography xxx And Hes right its nice , but it doesn't create inner contentmentxxxx

I'm so happy to find this video. I remember vividly listening to this broadcast and I still have the record. AFAICS it's the only youtube recording of this mix of the song, and as Peel says, it's the best. Can't help being overwhelmed by nostalgia. Thank you!

Jarvis Cocker, why do we know his music? I know tons of great bands, musicians without rock star parents. Nepotism pop take from the top. Of course they usually sell themselves as working class or poor. As if they are going to come out & say here is our rich kid, he sings, he is really good- you are going to love it.

  • crypttonite
    crypttonite 4 months ago

saying everything & nothing...who are these vague execs or the radio music that sucked, I believe, name some names...all the indie labels are businesses too, many emulate the giant labels. You made records your entire adult life without having to take a job...most cannot say this BBC is front funded by all the same Corporations advertising on Commercial platforms. Bob Dylan was an Intel creation, rich kid...did he even write a single song of his own? He has accepted a few fucked up Awards from the establishment for a person who pretended to be anti establishment & a Chrysler ad. The Beatles & Stones same, except they could produce the goods. Rolling Stones were initially funded by London School of Economics...not clever, intended LSE IS A FRONT FOR SPOOKS. Ginsberg was Burroughs project... Some at the top behave differently they seem less scummy, not to mention all the Knighthoods.. Matador is a bunch of assholes...

  • crypttonite
    crypttonite 4 months ago

Wakey wakey, Vice is a front for Intel, Apple too Apple now & Beatles Apple same same. An apple is a symbol of forbidden knowledge, u kno- it is not a clever logo it a is literal in your face...

Brigid Conley Walsh & Sally Pressman I thought were hot in Army Wives. Brigid is even hotter here with the bar maids outfit. She felt more comfortable in that then the princess outfit at the end, HALLELUJAH!!! Glad I was there to help her change back, lift & tuck!!!😋😍
